Hi, we appreciate your patience as we work through the tremendous backlog. The website you provided doesn't show the ISBN. We need a webpage showing the ISBN/ASIN and other book data to validate the info and if available we need it for the cover image. It should be non-bookseller site (Amazon & AbeBooks excepted), so from the publisher, library or another acceptable site: https://help.goodreads.com/s/article/..., if you have the book, we can use a scan/photo of your copy for the cover and the page with the publication information (you can upload a scan/photo of your own to the "more photos..." section of your profile (https://www.goodreads.com/photo/new) in the browser, not the app), then copy the link here and a librarian can add it. Make sure you state the source of the photo in the text and that your account settings are public (not private).

Don't reply to this post as once it's archived it's unlikely to be read by a librarian.

* Description: From the back cover: "The Circle Broken is the journal of a young girl named Eliza McLean who is the daughter of a chief trader of the Hudson's Bay Company. The story takes place in the North West in 1884-1885, around the time of the second Riel Rebellion. During the rebellion Eliza and her family were held hostage for 65 days by member of Chief Big Bear's band. They were seeking protection from the Government troops. The family remained sympathetic to Big Bear's band throughout their captivity.
Although the story depicts life in a fur trading fort, the main focus is on the Plains Cree people. Their lives have been irreparably damaged as a result of the extermination of the buffalo to accommodate the building of the railroad and arrival of the white settlers. As a consequence, the Plains Cree suffered from starvation and were forced onto reservations.
The other issues explored are the Canadian Government's failure to live up to their promises with regard to the treaties, the failure of the justice system when dealing with the indigenous people, and the Government's attempt to "take the Indian out of the child" through the residential schools.
