I finished reading Lost Ark Dreaming by Suyi Davies Okungbowa a couple of weeks ago. It's the first book I've read by this author and overall I enjoyed it. Despite a couple of concerns (which I can't mention here because of spoilers), I found the story imaginative with an interesting setting and unique characters. I did think the main themes could have been better fleshed out if the book had been a bit longer. The concepts were intriguing, and I wanted to hear more.

Just started this this morning, and so far it seems well-paced and very creative, with some interesting worldbuilding. Looking forward to continuing it.

It's the only novella on the Nebula novella shortlist I haven't read yet, and am very curious to see how it matches up to the other nominees. So far i have a much more positive opinion of the Nebula novella noms overall than the novel noms.

I've read it last week and yes, it has a lot of potential but for me at least it hadn't been realized

I'm about 50 pages in, and that took a turn I didn't expect! I'm definitely here for that twist.
