cati markw | 6 comments Hi guys! This is my first post, so I’m sorry if I do anything wrong. I have been searching for this book but cannot remember much else about it. I read it in a time span of 2016 and past, but whether it came out then I’m unsure of. If I am correct, the girl sacrificed herself at the end of the book and was happy about it but everyone else was sad. This was also kid-appropriate, no cussing or explicit material. I do not own it as I got it from our local library which has since closed and took the loan records along with it. If anyone can help, I’d appreciate it! It’s been bugging me for ages.

bookel | 4025 comments I don't know the endings, only suggesting because the author's books can be sad. I have yet to read the ones by Louise Lawrence that include star in the title. Either of them? The power of stars. The star lord.

cati markw | 6 comments I’ve just checked around both these books and they do not appear to be the one. Really appreciate this, though.

cati markw | 6 comments Not a picture book. It was a thicker book compared to children’s novels but not the size of that expected of high schoolers.

RavensScar | 298 comments Could it be one of the Andromeda books? The ones based on the tvseries Andromeda by Gene Roddenberry? If I remember correctly one of the characters in that series is a girl/young woman that turns out to be a star and ends up sacrificing herself for the crew.

cati markw | 6 comments I was looking more and it definitely seems like Trance Gemini from Andromeda, but I still can’t find the book where it happens.

SBC (essbeecee) | 1594 comments Are these the books, cati? Are you just trying to identify which of these has the scene you remember in it now?

RavensScar | 298 comments It's probably either the first or second book. Because of stuff that happens in the first episodes of the tvseries.
