Noah’s sister Laura was pretty hostile towards Josie. What did you attribute that to, especially later in the story when she tried to place a wedge between Josie and Noah?

Good question and by the end I still don't know! Did I miss something later in the story which gave us the reason for how totally rude she was?

I agree. I didn't, and I still don't understand her. She acted like a spoiled brat. I expected Noah to stand up to her, but he never did.

I agree with you both. What was her motive and why does she not like Josie for her brother? Nothing was explained.

No good motive was ever given for Laura's intense dislike of Josie. I thought since Collette wasn't very fond of Josie that she may have influenced Laura.

Her behavior was baffling. It was never explained but I’ll bet she shared her mother’s feelings about Josie stemming from the shooting. And maybe, just maybe she was competing for her baby brother to lean on her. Still, I wanted to smack her.
