Murder, Chaos, and Craziness lead Detective Josie Quinn to the brink of darkness in The Bones She Buried. This is an action-packed police procedural that brings the drama!

My review is rather vague because I am trying to avoid spoilers!

The 5th book of the Detective Josie Quinn series focuses on a murder that hits Josie close to home. As a result, her relationship with Noah is put to the test, while her bond with her fellow police officers grows.

Per the usual for this series, things get a li

When Josie and Noah arrive at his Mother's home for dinner, they find his Mother face down in the dirt of her flower garden. Searching for clues, they find rosaries in the garden and a baggie containing interesting items that initially do not appear to be related hidden in her home. Noah's Mother is a well-liked woman who is a pillar member of society. Her murder is shocking and has everyone who knows her scratching their heads. Like most of the cases in this book series, this murder h

Josie Quinn is back and better than ever!

This is the fifth book in the Josie Quinn police procedural series and it is just as strong if not stronger than the previous books. I have a love hate relationship with this series, I love when a new book is out and I hate waiting for the next book! I mean seriously Lisa Regan can’t you write a little faster? Kidding! Lisa is able to write four stellar books in a year, I am most impressed and I can’t possibly complain. Although after this ending I

I received a free e-copy of The Bones She Buried (Detective Josie Quinn #5) by Lisa Regan from NetGalley for my honest review.

Wow, wow, wow, Lisa Regan did it again! Another brilliant book, action-packed characters and non-stop action in this police procedural. Lisa Regan has become one of my favorite authors. I honestly hope this series never ends.

A murdered Mother, threatened relationship and a hunt for a killer

The action continues here right from the start when Josie and Noah find his mother murdered. Grief and Josie’s drive to find the killer causes some fiction here in this story. Just when I thought Josie was catching a break the murder threatens her relationship and some of Josie’s flaws start to come out. And there I was again yelling at the characters.

The twists and turns keep coming and I started along with Josie spinning in circ

Josie Quinn is investigating a case that is close to her heart. Her boyfriend's mother is found face down in the garden... her mouth clogged dirt. There are rosary beads half buried next to her.

Her house has evidently been searched ... what were they looking for? As Josie and her team searches the house, they find a hidden cache with items belonging to three different men .. 2 have been missing for years, another man found dead, also years ago.

EXCERPT: As they passed through the back door, Noah called out again 'Mom?'

Their feet sunk into the lush grass as they stopped to scan the large back yard. A tall white fence lined with blooming flower beds marked the perimeter, and a small wooden shed sat in one corner. Josie took a step in the direction of the patio in the centre of the yard that was crowded with heavy metal furniture, her eyes tracing every inch of the garden. With a gasp, she pointed to something sticking out of one of the b
Detective Josie Quinn and her partner, also a detective, headed to Noah’s mother’s for dinner. They had no idea that the next few hours would change their lives and those of Noah’s family members for good. As Josie worked desperately to save Colette while Noah called 911, the arrival of paramedics made them both realise it was fruitless. Noah’s beloved mother was dead…

The Bones She Buried is the fifth book in the Detective Josie Quinn series, and well I never, it's even damn better than the previous instalments; in fact, it's one of the best police procedurals/thrillers I've happened upon in a long time, and that's quite an accolade given the amount I read. Once again, as in previous novels in the series, the crime hits incredibly close to home creating an unwelcome merging of Josie's personal and professional lives and a conflict of interest which certainly ...more

My gosh, Lisa Regan has done it once again! I am such a fan of this ladies writing and the Josie Quinn series is just so addictive. I can't believe that this is book 5 already. So much has happened in these books and I eagerly await the next instalment every time. Josie is a brilliant character. She is so strong considering what has happened to her in her life. She is a great detective who just can't let anything go until she gets to the truth. In this book she struggles with being a cop and bei ...more

I just love this series! Josie is a hardworking, workaholic and this gets her into some trouble with Noah when his mother is murdered. She wants to do everything possible to find the killer and Noah just needs the support of his girlfriend. Why would anyone want to murder Colette? What secrets was she hiding from her family? Was there a long ago murder that she was involved in? All of these questions are what Josie tries desperately to answer before someone else is killed.

This really isn't much of a whodunit as it is a what and why. It was pretty easy, for me anyway, to separate the bad guys from the good guys. With one exception. A surprise little twist at the end. The story revolves around a series of murders in the present day and cold cases from the past.

The story opens with Josie and her boyfriend, Noah, preparing to visit his mother for dinner. When they arrive they find the house in disarray, no signs of a dinner, and Noah's mother facedown in her garden i

This was more of a mystery than a thriller but what a mystery it was. There were so many moving parts it was hard to keep track.

Detective Josie Quinn and Detective Noah Fraley become an official couple in the last book. This book starts with them heading over to Colette Fraley’s place (Noah’s mum) for lunch. They arrive to find her place ransacked and Colette is not inside. They find her in the back garden. Dead. Murdered. This sets off a chain of events that includes more murders and uncovers l

It’s hard to believe this is the fifth book in this series. I read the first three as part of a binge read and it was a great way to kick off this series. I do like that Lisa Regan writes these books quickly, so as a reader I don’t lose track of the characters. This one again features detectives Josie and Noah, this time with a murder too close to home.

What a tragic beginning to a enthralling story! Stressed out, but happy to be with her partner Noah Fraley, Detective Josie Quinn is headed to his mother's for dinner. Devastatingly, thy discover Noah's mother, Colette, dead in the back garden. Shocked, weary and full of disbelief, Noah is beside himself. Josie is in full cop mode. She desperately looks for the killer.

I would like to thank Netgalley and Bookouture for an advance copy of The Bones She Buried, the fifth novel to feature detective Josie Quinn of the Denton, Pennsylvania PD.

When Josie and her boyfriend, Noah Fraley turn up his mother Colette’s for dinner they find her face down in the garden dead, her mouth stuffed with soil. Treating it as murder Josie and the team find links to the Pratt brothers, one of whom is dead and the other the most famous missing person case in Denton.

Josie Quinn is one heck of a detective but when it comes to her personal relationships what a mess.

It's been 4 years since Josie's cop husband Ray went dirty and was murdered. Since that time she was engaged to Luke who worked for the state police but he also betrayed both her and his badge. She then started dating fellow cop Noah Fraley. Noah's mother has never really warmed up to Josie but she continues to try with her and that included going to her monthly dinners with her kids. After finishing each book by this author I have read up till now, I was left gobsmacked. This one had the same effect on me. I don’t know how she does it, but she manages it over and over again.

I love Josie Quinn. Her background makes her an even more interesting person and that adds some extra pizzazz.

The prologue of the book already turned my blood cold. The author keeps you waiting for a very long time before she reveals what happened, because during the biggest part of the story you wonder h

Loved it!!! Lisa Regan writes characters that you just want to stay apart of your reading world for a long time. Bones She Buried is the fifth in the Josie Quinn series. Like all the rest in this series I could not put it down. Josie does not have the best track record with romance but is a Sherlock Josie when it comes to being a great detective. "Sometimes people just got it wrong...It was so easy in hindsight to know what someone should have done."

Josie and Noah arrive for dinner at his mother's house to find her dead in the garden. Sure, Colette had been confused lately, but why did the house appear to have been ransacked? The cause of death appeared to be asphyxiation and Josie knows it was murder. Noah was an ass. Trinity was wonder-woman. Josie was psychic.

The Bones She Buried is the fifth book in the Detective Josie Quinn series. I'm so happy that I continued with this series. Josie Quinn is a character who rarely develops the way I expect. She takes one step forward and two steps back. There is something about this detective that makes me cheer for her; that is the reason I continue to read. She has a sad history that impacts her personal life. On the flip-side, Josie is an excellent detective with loyal co-workers. Work is the only arena where ...more

So this is the fifth in the Josie Quinn series and it’s actually only the second one I’ve read but I think it works perfectly well as a stand-alone.

It’s a heart breaking case for Josie’s boyfriend Noah as he finds they find his mother, Colette, dead in the backyard of her home but it’s not from natural causes. Someone killed her but she’s seemingly without enemies.

As Josie and her team dig deeper into Colette’s life they find links to an old missing person’s case of a prominent attorney Drew Pra
