They should not be merged. This is not a duplicate.
These are two editions with different ISBNs. Sometimes you can see 5 or more editions with the same cover but different ISBN. All editions with ISBN should remain in the database.

According to the information I found there is a trick with this set of works.
There are three ISBN10 associated with it: 5699182195, 5792107125, 5699182187
They are present in both editions, but these editions have different covers.
Taking into account that there is a possibility to associate no more than one ISBN10 with one edition I wanted to add the second edition with another cover and one of the ISBN10 that is left in the list when these editions are merged.

I'm not sure I follow your logic, but one thing is clear: deleting an edition with a valid ISBN violates policy and could result in losing librarian privileges. This applies to superlibrarians as well—some of us can attest to that.
Since we enjoy what we do and value our editing privileges, we will not delete an edition with a valid ISBN.
If you still think this procedure has any merit, contact support and have them destroy the editions help you with your endeavor.
