I see all these Netflix originals that are based off of the book but idk if any of them are good to begin with, any recs? I so need to get obsessed with a book again

Shadow hunters the show especially at the start was so bad(my opinion don’t judge) like I mean I get the books get judged because [‼️SPOILER‼️] the main love interests get together find out their siblings break up still like each other but it’s awkward then find out their actually not siblings and get back together after a bit [‼️END OF SPOILER‼️]but the show like the portals and stuff where so bad and in the first 2 series what was that sped up running😭😭😭I’m kinda being harsh but
I second Shadowhunters (book series: The Mortal Instruments). I will forever recommend it and it’s my first true love. Obsessed to this day - neither the show nor the movie did the books any justice imo 🥲
I far preferred The Man in the High Castle book to the show (amazon prime).But I preferred sex/life to 44 Chapters About 4 Men.
My daughter is reading To All the Boys I've Loved Before and loves it!! We also loved the films and XO Kitty.
The Time Traveler's Wife is one of my favorite books ever... I wasn't a fan of the first movie, but the HBO show from a few years ago was wonderful!
Percy Jackson the movies sucked but the show is so good and I can't wait for season 2.

The Percy Jackson show on Disney+ is rly good. Didn’t love the hate the actress who played Annabeth was getting but overall good show.
Good Girls Guide to Murder. Okay, the show is good, but I feel like the book is better. I think it was realized in 2023, so it's pretty new to Netflix, but if you're in for a person solving a murder, this would be for you. there are so many things that I did not see coming and you don't really expect who did it. Made me question if I even had a clue as to who was the murderer! It made me think and write things down as I read. I would make assumptions about who it was and turns out it was not them!!

I agree with the Shadowhunter series. The tv show was better than that awful movie. Other books better than the movies and shows, I would say The Lovely Bones, My Sister’s Keeper, and The Last Song. I’m sure I’m forgetting some.
