Could someone please merge this duplicate empty edition? The ASIN was added by the bot and the cover is the same as the one on the valid kindle edition. Thanks!

Done. There is no need to replace a placeholder cover for a merge, just mention it is a placeholder in your request. (In this case it was even a little extra work for me, as I had to revert the cover change to check it, as the change had no change comment.)

I don't ever replace placeholders unless I can verify for the cover for the specific ASIN/ISBN on an approved site. You were viewing the empty edition that the author created. I only added the verified cover to the kindle edition.

Unfortunately, the valid kindle edition was merged instead of the empty edition, so I've retrieved the kindle edition and marked it public again. Could this empty edition please be merged with the kindle edition? (I've put a librarian note on it this time.)

That is a rather big mistake from me to merge the wrong edition, my apologies.

The remark about the cover change comment wasn't about any doubt about the cover source. It is about helping the next librarian to understand that it was done correctly as no-one here can know the quality of every other librarian's work. And this was perhaps a not useful remark to make on one single request as nothing is done to stimulate librarians at all to use correct useful change comments.
