Yara’s Library | 122 comments I usually read a physical book, a book on my kindle and listen to an audio book at once. I am a mood reader so I switch between those depending on my mood :)

🌜Ashli🌛 | 3 comments I’m reading 4 different ones now 🤣 This may sound cray but I bounce back and forth based on my mood and the weather

Kaitlyn Powers | 7 comments im always reading atleast 2 at a time. like everyone else it depends on my mood , the weather, and what vibe of story im going for. i think it totally normal to read more than one

message 56: by Corri (new)

Corri | 2 comments In the middle of 5 ebooks (2 are tandem read in the same series) 😂. I do a lot of borrowing books from the library and have to deal with both wait lists and mandatory return dates.

Sol Cañas | 20 comments Idk I just can’t usually focus on a longer book for more than like..4 days unless I’m reading another one at the same time, unless it’s a really fast paced book and I can read it by just sitting down for like 5 hours and finishing it

joe (work hiatus) | 31 comments I'm reading 5 tgt rn😮‍💨😮‍💨

Dorina | 1 comments I always read several books at once. 1-2 paper books, 4-5 on kindle. I need to have one for each of my moods. (I dont count audiobooks, those are not books in my eyes, but I also hear 2-3 audiobooks during driving, shopping on in gym/pool)

Krisha (krisha_) | 796 comments I tend to get confused if I'm reading multiple books from the same genre. But I don't feel the same way while reading many books from different genres. that way I don't get confused so it depends upon the books you're reading at the same time

message 61: by Rita ✮⋆˙ (new)

Rita ✮⋆˙ I don't read multiple book at the same time because i get too confused and mix the stories together so it ends up being a long confusing story

Quel | 89 comments I'm bouncing between 3 paperbacks and 2 on KU - My attention span is really bad and I read specific books at specific times of the day lol. But tbf I feel like I read a bit faster so I can get through them all in less than a week.

I have been reading multiple books 5+ at once since I was a child. Boring, abusive childhood led to me escaping into books. Anything to get my mind off reality.

The key, at least for me, is to choose books from different genre. Romance, history, etc. Never have the same genre together unless it's something like a historical romance and a vampire romance (never two vampire romance book at the same time).

Yes, I can remember what is going on in each book even if I put it down for a bit.

On the other hand, Reality TV shows confuses the hell out of me. I get lost after the 3rd or 4th episode. I can never remember who did what or said something, or remember names.

I think the difference is with books, I can escape into someone's life or story. With Reality TV shows, I don't really care to make a connection with the people on the TV.

So I guess the only advice I can give you is try to read two books from two different genre and see how that goes for you.
