2025 The Book Carnival Circuit: Team Reading Challenge

Richard, because your BPM is so astonishing, would you prefer that I cap your reading, so that you can play on a team - or would you like to be your own team?

I'm ok to be capped.

BPM: My average for Jan/Feb is 27.5, rounding up to 28, so 25-30
Why am I like this? 🤦🏽♀️🤣
✨ Special Note: To ensure a fair and balanced challenge for all teams, there will be a 50-book cap per month for high-volume readers. This cap helps keep the competition fun and engaging for everyone, regardless of reading speed. Thank you for understanding! 🎪📚
I'll join, but there is a caveat. I will be in Alaska (cruise/landtour) the last 2 weeks of June. I will be back before the 30th and can add books from those 2 weeks, but I have no idea how much I will read.
Going to say my average will be 15-18; it is a guess based on my current bpm split in half for the last month.

10 books per month.

Is the 50 cap for the whole team or for each player? ie the team can read no more that 50 books per month, or is it a team of three would be capped at 150 ?

The cap is per player. The "attractions" have a limited amount of books that can be read and each player must read at least 1 book per "attraction". It isn't likely that the you would even need 150 books per month, it just helps me balance the teams, so that people who read 200 bpm don't read all the books in less than a month, if that makes sense?

I'll commit to 10 p/m, but to begin with can read more.
"Lazy" non-competitive team if poss please as I don't want to leave folks in the lurch when I get busy! (and there is a possibility that I may not have internet during the last few weeks!! 🤪)

The lure of the “lazy/non-competitive” mindset has me joining up!
I’m in for 4-6 bpm, to be safe. Lazy! Non-competitive. Mood reader.

Oh no! I just downloaded goodreads and barely missed the deadline 😭 Can I still sign up? I have exam season coming up so wont be able to read that much, 2-3 BPM 🥰
