I think this was a series. The covers were predominantly hot pink. The title is the name of the protagonist whose name starts with a C, it’s not a common C name. Realistic fiction

OK, please ignore this post. I was very very wrong in my memory. For what it’s worth, I was thinking about the Mallory book series. not only were the covers not hot pink, but it did not start with the letter C. Facepalm lol
