In this case, Task 15.8 requires the word to be intact which means in the same order such as 'MARS'H or 'MARS' or 'MARS'HMALLOW, not just spelled out in the title.

My book ends on p. 384. The paperback version lists it as 388 though. Not sure I can fix this. If I find the link to the paperback version will that work since even it doesn't agree with the paperback I read?

If your copy doesn't match what the GR record says for it, you can ask in this thread to see if they can update the record. They may ask you for more information about your copy.
You need to link to the edition you actually read in your post. For simplicity and fairness, I must use what the GR record says for the edition you read. The only exception is when you read and link the digital version and need to use the page number for the task. Since digital versions can vary widely in how pages are determined, then I look up what the first book listed is for the physical formats of the book in the order listed in the rules.
Got it. Makes sense. It's hard to link to the version you read because on the add book link function there is no detail. At any rate I'll withdraw this task. Thanks for your help.

If you are in a browser this might work for you. When I want to make sure I get the right edition linked in my post, I use the number that shows up in the address of the book page for the correct edition.
For example, the Audiobook edition book page of Three Sisters by OJ Mullen:
...goodreads.com/book/show/201610008-three-sisters
(the apostrophes below are just so the code will show, they are not actually in the book link)
['book:Three Sisters|123221901'] - edition that pops up when I search for the link
Then I copy that bold number from the website address into the book link to get this:
['book:Three Sisters|201610008']
Then, when I post the message the link will be to the edition I actually read without having to find it in a list of other editions. I don't remember how I originally discovered this, but I used to have trouble linking to the correct edition when the book had a lot of them. For me this is just easier, but may not be for everyone.
Oh that is very helpful. Thanks! It's especially bad for books that have hundreds of editions. I will remember this.
also, if you put the ISBN in the search window instead of the title it will bring up your edition

ditto on the ISBN search - or I pull up the more editions on the book page to find my version and then copy that info over (if i don't have book with ISBN handy)

When using a digital edition, the page count is determined by physical copies. In this case, the top PB is only 462 pgs, so does not qualify for the one book option. Also, you would need a reference to show it is set in Canada. I can't find anything on the book page.

This paperback version has 544 pages which is the one that I read - I didn't realize that I linked the wrong copy.

In the book titles, hyphenated words are considered one word, so the word would be 'FIVESTAR', which does not match the word from the trail.
