This makes sense, given your reading preferences. As mentioned above, the trial made the book drag for me. I just wanted to read observations about how/if the young woman would grow in that community.

And, of course, i wanted to keep reading about what she learned about the world around her in that small area. And her book. :-)

I started out the month with The Phoenix Keeper by S.A McLean. My full review..."

I think that's a fair point to make, Bella.

Also, I read your review for Clear and I'm sad to hear that it turned out to be rather lackluster, as I think the premise sounds like it would make for a compelling, solid read.

What a good reading month, Marie. Loved the "Giving this book four "Beware Naughty Neighbors" stars" rating. Cute.

It's great that you have go-to authors, such as DeGordick and McFadden, whose books always work for you. That reliability from authors isn't easy to find.

Thank you for sharing about your February titles, Marie. I must say you are a prolific reader. Of course reading exciting books in short order allows for even more reading! Have fun with them.

I try to stick with authors that I know their work and if they have a lot of books out then it is easy to step into more of their work. I have quite a few favorite authors where I know that I will like their stories. I will try new authors and depending on how their writing style is it could be a dud but if that author wrote more than one book I will try them again but if their work keeps being a dud I won't try a third time.

Thank you Deb. I love to post my reviews on here and to share them with you all. :)

madrano | 24651 comments It is nice to have a list of authors which always turn out books you like, i agree. They are like visiting pals, in a way.
