I nominated it, so I guess I need to dive in. Heh...I'll wind up The Windup Girl soon and then be starting, probably.
This actually sounds like a really good book. If I wasn't still reeling from my efforts to finish The Stand I'd actually consider starting this one soon as well.

I've read the prologue and through the middle of chapter 3. It's pretty good so far. I think I'm really going to like this.

I got a good chunk done and then got distracted by other books and Sons of Anarchy.I do like it, it's just going to take me awhile. Until I get done with this TV series, I'm probably going to be slow with all my reading lol.
I read it 30 something years ago. Remember loving it and after all these years, I don't remember much of the story. Do I remember correctly that a main character is named Mariko or MarikoSan?
