I am so sorry! I got home late because I went to a basketball game tonight after work. I just got in bed and tried to read but I only made it to 1 page lol I’m just too tired tonight. I’m about halfway finished with The Wedding People. I can prioritize that book so we can have it as an option for TPBM!
No worries at all, Shelby!! I've had many of those nights myself. LOL Hope you had fun out ... it can't just be reading all the time ;)
TPBM books ... sound like we'r in pretty good shape with three books currently in progress. I'm almost done Fox Wife (will finish for sure today), Kathy has the Postman, and Shelbys working on Wedding People.
Plus we have our wildcards too.
Nice reading team!
Like Shelby, I didn't manage much yesterday. Started work at 7 AM and didn't get home until 10 PM. I was done. Hope to finish another book tonight though.
I finished Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder for the food prompt. I also started the audiobook for Better Than the Movies, which will either cover TPBM or day off prompt. I see that one is already completed, but it's not one noted on the Completion sheet. Did someone mark or type the wrong one?
Also, I'm going to start The Proof Is in the Poison for the animal prompt and Run Away for the zombie prompt.
I’m not making much progress this week. I just don’t have much desire to read; I was hoping the read a thon would help. I’m glad the rest of the team is doing great.
@Jillian you did finish one book, so if the rat helped you do that then that’s great. Sometimes it’s just hard to read.I just finished The Favorites by Layne Fargo and it was awesome. I recommend it to anyone who likes Taylor Jenkins Reed. I won’t update the spreadsheet until tomorrow when I go on my computer.
@Jen, that's a crazy long day!! @Kathy .. this is the part of the week where I slow down on books too, lots of stuff planned in the evenings and weekend ...
@Sheyanne .. thanks for the note about spreadsheet being off. I'll see if I can find it. I usually clean up the spreadsheet every morning, when I get to my computer (my phone is just too small to manage effectively) but feel free to post anything you notice that needs fixing and I'll try and get it sorted.
@Erica ... I do exactly the same with the am updates :D Read myself to sleep and fill in the next morning.
@ Jillian, sorry your in a slump. I get those sometimes and it always feels worse during a read-a-thon when it feels like you have to read, but you really dont. No pressure. Every book and page helps so thanks for all you've contributed (and anything else you mange this week!) I hope you can find a book you love to pull you back into reading.
Finished The Postman Always Rings Twice and added it for TPBM. Not sure if I should have since it's quite far out from where we are.
I can probably finish The Wedding People today or tomorrow. Should I save it for a later TPBM or just do a prompt with it? I’m hoping for a slower weekend since this week has been so hectic so I am planning to read quite a bit then! I have a project to work on but I think I’ll still get in some good reading time
Kathy, that's awesome. I think/hope we'll need it and can always pull it back to a prompt if needed. Shelby .. my thought would be to use it as a prompt. Personally I always like to try and finish all the prompts at least once as a team (I know that's not necessarily the goal, but ...) we have 20 prompts left and enough TPBM already filled in to get us that far. With only 3 days left, I'm guessing we likely won't need the extra TPBM?
Any one else have thoughts on this?
I have one finished book to log this morning, I'm home tonight, out tomorrow & home on Sunday, so thinking I can finish 3 more books?!
Also .. we have 7 wildcards that we can use! Thinking we save those to the bitter end to fill anything unfinshed??
I just finished Run Away for the zombie prompt. Now, I'm going to start The Family Game that will cover prompts 32-34. I'm still reading The Proof Is in the Poison for animal and Better Than the Movies, which will fit a few as well.
Sheena, I too like finishing all the prompts first and then using the wildcards. Since we can answer the questions creatively I think we should be able to accomplish all the prompts once.I’m half done Did You Hear About Kitty Karr? Reese book club picks have yet to fail me.
I finished The Wide, Wide World and added it for "color you'd wear for the rest of your life."I hope to finish my two books I have going now, and maybe one more by Sunday.
I finished GLOBETROTTING: Writers Walk the World and added it for "famous person in history you'd want to spend the day with"
I've finished three books this week but I don't think I will be able to finish anything else. I'll keep reading throughout the weekend to add pages
I finished a couple more books! I also don’t think I’ll be able to finish another book by tomorrow but I’ll get as many pages as I can!
Great reading everyone! Ill get my totals and 2 books added shortly. Bday party for a friend yesterday messed my normal routine 😉 I'll listen to another short audio while I putter around today. At a glance I think if we use all the wild cards we can check all our boxes. but first coffee ..
Finished one more and have less than 30 minutes on my audio but flagging. Will try but satisfied with the reading this week. The team did well!
I finished the book I thought I would. I had a lot of fun reading with you guys too. We accomplished many books together and it pushed me to read more. I also think The Wedding People has to go on the tbr. :)
