Famously, the planet Anarres from The Dispossessed by Ursula K. Le Guin is described as having precious little on the way of flora and fauna, at least on land.

The entire Expanse series is focused, amidst all the politicking, on the fact that everywhere on the Solar system is deadly for people except Earth, and even that isn't looking good.

Oh obviously The Road, set on an Earth without biosphere.
