In the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 match against Bangladesh, Rohit Sharma became the ninth batter in One-Day International (ODI) cricket history to reach 11,000 runs. The Indian captain became the second-fastest player to reach this milestone, having done so in just 260 innings, after colleague Virat Kohli, who did so in 222 innings.
Considering that Sharma was going through a difficult time in another format before making a spectacular comeback with an outstanding century against England, his road to 11,000 runs has been amazing.
