30.4 - Susan A's Task: Consecutive Numbers

Pick ONE option and read two books.
Required: Specify the option

Option 1
Read two books from a single series that have consecutive whole number series numbers.
Required: state the series and series number

Example:
London Rules #5 Slough House
Joe Country #6 Slough House

Option 2
Read 2 books with consecutive number page counts.
Required: state the page count of each book.
Examples:
Taken by the Lord of the Nocturne Court - 399 pgs
You're the Problem, It's You - 400 pages

Option 3 (Complete 1 Book A and 1 Book B)
Book A: Read a book with 2 consecutive digits in the page count.
The following page counts work: 145, 201, 348
Required: state the page count
Example:
Seeing a Large Cat - 512 pages

Book B: Read a book with two consecutive digits in the year of the first published edition. The following years work: 1912, 1989, 2001, 2017.
Required: state the year first published
Example:

Jen B (jennybee618) | 885 comments For option 1, do the books in the series all have to be by the same author?
I was thinking of https://www.goodreads.com/series/3469... which is a single series where each book is written by a different author.

That works. There are no author requirements.

Trish (trishhartuk) | 3675 comments Morning.

Could you confirm I've read option two correctly? I was thinking of
Mousse and Murder (295pg) and
If Fried Chicken Could Fly (296pg)
as 296 is consecutive to 295.

Thanks.

Cathy Galloway | 1077 comments Is it okay for the option 1 series to consist of 2 books?

As long as both have the series title in greyscale and series number listed on the books' main pages.

Jamie Dennis | 159 comments For option 3, book A - 2 consecutive digits in the page count, could I use a book with page count of 432 or 304. When I initially looked at the examples I was thinking you skipped the 0, but I think I am realizing that you are using the 0 as in 0 -1, not as in 2-1. So, I would guess that 304 would not be allowed, but could the consecutive digits descend vs ascend. Thank you.

Hmmm, I guess I better check with mods. I meant to include the word ascending order, but it looks like I forgot.
I think 432 should be okay since the digits 4 and 3 are consecutive, or 3 and 2 are consecutive.

304 does not work. 3 and 0 are not consecutive, 0 and 4 are not consecutive.

I will ask for assistance now about your first question. I need to make sure I am not undoing something they have already ruled on.

Thank you for the response and checking.

Susan A | 1662 comments For Option 3, digits may be be in descending or ascending order. So 432 pages works for Book A (4 and 3 are consecutive). The year 1976 (7 and 6 are consecutive) works for Book B
