should i read caraval or ouabh first?

i've been meaning to read ouabh for a whiileeee noww, but i keep seeing tiktoks saying that it is highly recommended that i read the caraval trilogy beforehand! would this help to give me a better understanding of stephanie garbers fantasy novels or not?

i read caraval first but only caraval, i didnt read the others but you might want to because there are some links between both series, if you don’t want to read them i just recommend finding the plots online or something

i haven't read ouabh but i honestly loved caraval sm and it's truly one of my top tier books - the whole series. but seeing that ouabh is so hyped, i really don't know how people like it more than caraval seeing how much i ADORED caraval! and some tiktoks say that they regret not reading caraval first since ouabh spoils what happens in the caraval series...so i'd say to start caraval, but it's truly your personal prefrence!! 💗

i started ouabh first cause i didn't realize it was a spin-off lol but i didnt mind the spoilers, i ended up reading caraval after finishing the ouabh heart series (i liked ouabh way better than caraval)
