Sandra | 31401 comments You can provide all the information requested in the link at the beginning of the Adding New Books & Editions folder. It also helps if you state that you have a copy of the book.

Also, if you have the book and can take a photo/scan of the cover, please add it to your photo section. A librarian can add it to the book, when you let us know its been added.

Dobby (dobby0390) | 7857 comments When you provide an image that you scanned, be sure to state that to save back-and-forth time. Otherwise, the responding librarian will need to ask about the source of the image.

Martin | 35233 comments Maybe the wording was confusing, you would not be using yourself as a source but using a copy of the specific book edition to which you have access (own copy, borrowed, hopefully not stolen, etc.)

Tawnya | 4030 comments Include the publication page since you will be asked about it. Books that predate ISBNs shouldn't be an issue, but it is good to verify the date and publisher. Books with ISBNs have to have that page so that the cover will match.
