Arielle Miller | 212 comments I know everyone loved All Fours by Miranda July, but I HATED it.

Also, surprisingly, I really didn't enjoy Dolly Alderton's Good Material... though All I Know About Love is one of my favorite reads in recent years!

message 6: by Gianna (new)

Gianna (giannas1021) | 15 comments The Inheritance Games and Tuck Everlasting, I could barely get through them.

amara_gibsie and claires wife💋✨💍 (urgirl_amara) | 428 comments TW- a lot of swearing

The wrong pucking number. I can read a lot of dark, twisted romances BUT this is a fucked up book. It was normal UNTIL the end. LIKE wtf, he steals her basically and keeps her hostage and refuse to let her go AND age drugged her. THATS FUCKING LOW AF I would be on the phone to the fucking police. There was a fucking reason it took me ages to pick up. I had high hopes

amara_gibsie and claires wife💋✨💍 (urgirl_amara) | 428 comments I dnfed reckless by Lauren Robert. Why the fuck was paeydn sooo annoying. Don’t get me wrong kia is alright. But yeh….

𓆉 Elle 𓆉 (Semi-Hiatus) | 337 comments The Secrets We Buried
2 stars- I had higher expectations
I skipped the ending, so I don't know who-done-it, but what I read was good.
Thank you to those who warned of the ending, I honestly think that the girls should have acted more mature. They did kind of act like teenagers. I feel so bad for Frankie, though. She just wanted to liver her life with her husband and kids. It was a fairly good book (what I read)

Bride
1 star- Plot was ok- My honest opinion is: I'm traumatized by the word “knot”… It's not the best romantacy that l've ever read, but it was a short and quick read (thankfully).

message 17: by Madi (new)

Madi | 11 comments The death cure by James dashner:

The plot just didn’t make sense to me. The ending felt so rushed. Like he didn’t know what to do with the plot he made and used the first idea that came to his mind. Also newts death did not make any sense.

Maze runner movies>maze runner books

hii okay so basically to add a link you do

< a href="INSERT LINK HERE">DISPLAY TEXT< / a>

to get it to fully work, you have to remove the spaces after the < and the /

Elsie | 963 comments I didn't super, duper HATE on this book, but I did write a review and starred Harry Potter, the Sorcerer's Stone one star. Sorry. Search up Harry Potter, find the original cover, and you might be able to find it.

Idk how to add more than one links on the message 😭 my 1 star reviews tend to be short, if I already hated the book I don’t want to put any more energy into it

message 32: by Kara McArrie (new)

Kara McArrie (karazynsolo) | 155 comments Wicked Lovely was SO DULL. the characters were one-dimensional, the love triangle was bland, and i couldn't find it in me to give a crap about aislinn, keenan and donia's struggles. just marry the faery, aislinn, you'll be queen. screw seth. i dislike it so much when they make the good guy in the love triangle so boring and facile, because then obviously i'm gonna go for the "bad" guy. they should both be equally intriguing, with flaws and strengths, and have qualities that make it difficult to choose. if i was aislinn, i'd have made a beeline for keenan

Girl, Goddess, Queen was fine, but it felt a whole lot like a fanfic that did not need to be published lol plus, hades' portrayal in the book felt... wrong to me. i just can't see him being a diffident boy who's repelled by the prospect of killing and death- he's literally the god of the underworld! it was meant to have persephone as a severely strong feminist protagonist, but honestly, it was pretty ridiculous. hades could've been incredibly respectful and full-on supporting his badass girlboss queen in the end, but instead the author turned him into this... secretly soft-spoken, self-conscious guy. which is perfectly fine! it just doesn't fit him, unless fitzgerald was going for an ooc depiction of him. anyway, it feels like the author believes tailoring and painting is strictly a feminine pastime, so any man who pursues them is considered feminine, therefore hades is "not like other men". but like... none of them are feminine? some of the most famous painters are men, and early tailors were believed to be primarily men. and, news flash, compassion is a very human emotion, regardless of gender

Hide and Secrets was... eh. i had to read it for a school debate. the plot twist was incredibly predictable; i was not shocked at all. cat, also, was so freaking featureless, and it left me with absolutely no feeling. like, cool, i guess. moving on.

message 33: by Mackenzie (new)

Mackenzie Beckmann | 13 comments **Unpopular opinion**

I HATED firefly lane and fly away. I couldn’t even make myself finish the second one. Everybody is obsessed and gushes over how great it is and I absolutely was soo bored it took me 2 weeks to force myself to read the first (cause I have a problem not finishing something I start) but I quit the second after it took me 6 days to get though 70 something pages. It was the first book I didn’t finish. I tried, I really did but I have too many things I’m excited to read I just COULD NOT make myself read anymore of it. If I like a book like the one I just finished I can power through a 600 page book in less than three days if I have time, so I couldn’t make myself finish reading something I was merely tolerating just to count it as completed.

message 34: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa Budde | 2 comments writers and lovers...read it because the cover was pretty but damn that shit was lame. my fault for judging a book by it's cover...

esther ౨ৎ (beginnerbooktok) | 17 comments If We Ever Meet Again
this is everything i don't like in books, that being said i'm so annoyed at the characters i will be reading book 2 to pray they make up for themselves.

the book should have ended when they got together, instead of (view spoiler)

TLDR: the characters all suck and has my 2 most hated tropes
