Caleb Crowe | 10 comments A second entry for the Kindle version of my book has appeared today (possibly because it has the correct ASIN). Now when I go to my Author Dashboard, I cannot access the original Kindle, Paperback or Hardback versions of my book. The show up as my books when I am logged in to my author account, but I do not have the option to edit book, and the top right of the page asks me to sign in, even though I am already signed in. It's as if I am no longer the owner of these editions.
Any help gratefully received! Thanks.

Shim (slimmy) | 3419 comments As the author you should be able to combine the editions. I'm not sure about the apparent techinical issues you're describing. You could try contacting Goodreads support.

In the meantime I combined this book with the other editions for you.

This request is complete.

Please edit the title / subject of your post and add [done] so other Librarians know it is complete.

Caleb Crowe | 10 comments Can I just check whether this is correct. It now shows two separate Kindle editions, rather than a single merged Kindle edition.
Thanks.

Shim (slimmy) | 3419 comments Yes there are two Kindle editions there; they have unique ASINs/ISBNs

one has ISBN: 9781837565122 ASIN: 1837565120
the other has ASIN: B0DT78JWLG

Caleb Crowe | 10 comments Is there a way to merge them? I think the info must be wrong on one of them - there is only one Kindle edition.

Yes, the edition with the ISBN13/10 entries is incorrectly labeled as Kindle format when it should be ebook format. If the digital edition of the book is exclusive to Amazon (meaning not available at any other booksellers online) then the ebook format needs to be merged with the Kindle edition since that will be the only published digital format. If at some point in the future you pull the title out of Kindle Unlimited and it goes into wide distribution, you can add the ebook edition with the ISBN's as a separate edition.

-ebooks sold on Amazon marketplaces are always Kindle format.

-ebooks sold/available everywhere else (Kobo, SW, public libraries, et) are ebook format.

Shim (slimmy) | 3419 comments I've updated the edition (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...) format to ebook for now.

Caleb Crowe | 10 comments Thanks for that. The book is exclusive in KU, so that ebook edition is redundant, I guess.

Is there any way of deleting the ebook version? Weirdly, that's the one I don't seem to be able to access/edit at all.

Thanks.

Scott | 8667 comments If it was a Kindle, it would have an ASIN rather than an ISBN. The ebook is available from NetGalley.

Caleb Crowe | 10 comments Thanks so much for all your help. This now appears to be resolved. It's very, very much appreciated.
