You can read the Dark tower series at any time really. It does not require you to have read other books beforehand but the most helpful ones to have read before are “The Stand” and “Salem’s Lot.” Once you have completed the series (or at least book 6) I highly recommend a follow up of “Insomnia”

Not a novel but a short story that’s now been published on its own that I really loved was the mist also 1922 was very good if your looking for quick short reads from king

I have read: Pet Sematary, Different Seasons, The Shining
I am going to read: Carrie, Salem's Lot, It, The Stand, Misery, 11/22/63, and Under the Dome.
Should I change this order? When can I read the Dark Tower series?
