Ioanna | 25 comments Hello everyone. I was wondering if you could suggest books where both the female and male main characters are strong, They are not naive, not self-secured, no "oh my god, what am i going to do?". Instead they are opinionated and have great chemistry.

I know I'm asking a lot, but l am determined to find gems. Thanks for your help.

Jay (bookdragon29) | 132 comments In Death Series by J.d Robb. you don't have to read the in order but you might not understand few things here and there. no major things so it's cool

Jay (bookdragon29) | 132 comments Corrupted Union by Jill Ramsower
Brutal Prince and Sinner duet by Sophie Lark

Karen Denise Foster | 156 comments The Mindf*ck series for sure....great recommendation.

I would also add The Chronicles of Anna Monroe and Boston Marks by AA Dark. Just finished that series and am having a hard time finding another book that will stop me from thinking about them. Both are serial killers....You have to get to the third book before they are together, but all the books are great.

Jay (bookdragon29) | 132 comments adding to by tbr. thanks!

If you like serial killers, definitely check out Sinners duet by Sophie Lark. Was amazing

Karen Denise Foster | 156 comments I loved the Sinners series by her, and Brutal Prince. If you haven't read 24690 series by AA Dark, or Garden of the Gods series, I would recommend those as dark, dark.

I think my two favorite series for 2024 were The Jewelry Box by Pepper Winters and the Deliver series by Pam Godwin.

And I always recommend the Stronger series by Jay Marie. We are all waiting on the last book (we have a group just for this series on FB), that should be out in the next couple of months. This one and Tormentor Mine by Anna Zaires are my top two series recommendations for just about everything, and have been for a while now.

Jay (bookdragon29) | 132 comments definitely checking them all out. I did read one series by Anna Zaires. it was good!

Jay (bookdragon29) | 132 comments not deceiving at all! She is hands down the strongest FMC I've ever read!
But you will ball your eyes out when reading what was done to her 😭

Light Out is definitely worth the hype. Tho it is a dark romance
Brutal Prince I feel is subjective. I loved it. But it's not everyone's cup of tea

Karen Denise Foster | 156 comments Yeah, Mindf*uck is not deceiving. It's absolutely one of my very favorites of all time. Happy reading!!

Ioanna | 25 comments Finished Mindf*ck series last week. All I have to say is that I do understand why the books are dedicated to people who want to be like Lana. Amazing character, favorite FMC indeed.

I don't think that you should take the law in your own hands, but since you tried everything and you couldn't get justice because of corruption ... I do understand her. I would have done the same.

Loved Logan and more importantly, I was so happy that he loved her the way she is. None of the two tried to changed the other. They accepted and respected their differences.

+ I am Greek and I haven't read many books where Greece is mentioned, so when I came across a book that mentions a greek place, I always smile a little bit wider.

Overall, amazing book, great character development without changing the core of the character and the plot is to DIE FOR. Best recommendation ever!

Karen Denise Foster | 156 comments Glad you liked it. I really like when an author can take me on a ride like this one did. Do you have any suggestions for those of us that loved this series that you would recommend after reading it?

message 23: by Jay (new)

Jay (bookdragon29) | 132 comments aww I'm so glad you liked it. wish the author had lived to write more amazing books like Mindfuck Series

Jay (bookdragon29) | 132 comments sinners duet by Sophie Lark is amazing. Strong af FMC. not in the same wavelength as Mindfuck series but the books are amazing in their own way.
FMC also goes through something traumatic and becomes stronger for it.

message 26: by Ioanna (new)

Ioanna | 25 comments I experienced a similar filling with:
The Devil's Fire (mafia, most of the times i could guess what's going to happen, but still, it was amazing. the FMC though .... i would like to kill her, or at least rewrite her)

Getaway (wattpad book, but soooooo worth it)

message 27: by Ioanna (new)

Ioanna | 25 comments I started another serie and after that I have promised to read another (sc) book, but that's definitely on my tbr.

i 've read the Brutal Prince but it was focused mainly on the romance, mafia was not even there. Is it the same with There Are No Saints ?

No, this duet is about two serial killers that fall in love with the same girl. I really loved the series.
