Look, so basically I hated the first book. The plot was slow, the romance was mid, and it just wasn't for me. However, I heard the rest of the books are better. So should I keep reading the series or call it quits?

If you're a romantasy fan then I would say DEFINITELY read the second one! The plot, romance, and overall vibes pick up so much it really is like a different book! If you don't like the second then I would say it's not worth reading the third one, but if you're normally into this genre then I really do think it's worth continuing!
Yes!!! At least attempt the second book (that was my fave of the series) if it's not giving you anything from there then I would say don't continue with it. Happy reading!
Absolutely and most definitely read the second book! I felt the same way after finishing the first one but it’s MF all time favorite series now 🙌
IT GETS BETTER IN THE SECOND BOOK I SWEARThe good thing is that books 1-3 is the full series so technically you could stop there. Books 4 and 5 are just nice sweet treats but still continues a bit out of the 1-3 plot.
YES, absolutely yes!! Coming from a person that hated the first book as well, it gets SOOO much better— trust. Everything that you feel you’re lacking in the first book, gets made up for. I haven’t fact checked it, but I read somewhere that Sarah J Maas started writing this series when she was really young (i wanna say in her teens). And honestly, the first book kinda read that way to me. Felt like a poor written fanfic on wattpad. But Maas’ writing definitely improves and the story really gets it’s legs in the second book.
Yes, read the second one... and if you still hate it, stop the series!
you need darkness to appreciate the light;) you need the first book to appreciate the second;))
honestly if you think of the first one as a big bit of exposition or plot building or as a long prologue, then it makes reading the second one SO much more enjoyable. the whole time i was reading the second one i was like "WAIT" bc everything just builds off of each other!
My question is: is Acotar a romance serie? I never tried anything out of the romance genre and I really want to Read some a little bit different but I’m afraid lol :/

If you usually read fantasy, then this series is a good transition to then try romance books. But if you are loking for just romance in like the real world, then you should try another book. ABSOLUTELY! I wasn’t a huge fan of the first but about 1/4 of the way into the second I was hooked.
Someone once told me that the first book in any Sarah J. Mass series is the tax you pay to read the rest of the series. And believe me it’s a tax always worth paying.
YES, the first one is quite boring if compared to the other ones, but the story completely changes in the first half of the second book, and i promise it really gets betterim glad my bsf forced me to keep reading the series because i LOVED it
Absolutely. my friend said same thing as you. but I insisted that she keep the series. Now she loves acotar series like crazy.
