Share a bit about yourself and your goals! How many books are on your TBR? What is your goal?

Books And Chocaholic (booksandchocoholic) | 1 comments I mean, I'm not going for TBR Zero, I really like having a big TBR, but I am working on changing up how I read my books so I'm reading books I've had for a while and also leaving my comfort zone a bit.

I love that! It's been so great reading books that I've had for ages and seeing whether I actually like them or not, a bit reason I started this challenge hehe. Do you have a top 3 list of books you want to read zoon?

josephine (anjmjen) | 6 comments Hi! Thanks for the invite to this group :) Hopefully it'll help keep me accountable!
I'm not entirely sure how many unread books I have on my shelves, but it's far too many for my taste - around the 140 mark. My goal is to get under 100 this year, and then do my best to reach around 50 in 2026. I do like to have a decent amount of unread books, but I'd prefer the number to not be tripple digits xD In fact, just under 50 would be perfect! So this is definitely a long-term project, but I'm more motivated than ever^^
Good luck everyone!

Amazing! Sounds like a really achievable goal, thank you for joining the group :D A big TBR is definitely overwhelming.

DuskRose | 4 comments Hi, thanks for having me! Lately, my physical TBR pile has been growing beyond what I’m comfortable with, and I want to avoid feeling stuck having to read only from it. My goal is to shrink it down, as it currently sits at 97 books

Abi (booksa144) | 3 comments Hi, nice to meet you all! I've been enjoying Bianca's series on YouTube so I'm excited to get some motivation from other people working towards a reduced TBR pile.

I'm currently at 106 books, down by 12 since the start of the year. I hope to reduce to number to 20 or less by the end of the year, since my TBR has grown out of control over the past couple of years. I'm trying to build up my foreign language book collection, but I've been buying faster than I can read, haha.

Laura (readsbylaura) | 9 comments hi, thanks for the invite and nice to meet everyone!

while i don't think my tbr will ever hit zero, i do want to catch up on the books i do own especially since i have so many that have been sitting pretty on my shelf for years now.

my main goals are to complete series that i have started, continue to read multiple genres, and get into translated/foreign work. the first series i plan on finishing is the poppy war trilogy. i read the first book when it released in 2018 and loved it, so it is officially time to complete the series, lol.

BiancaBooks | 2 comments Hi :) Thank you for the invite into the group.
I never really counted my unread books, but I am sure they will be close to 180. I am not going for 0 bit I would love to at least reduce by a minimum of 40 books.
I also set a rule for myself, that if I read 5 books I am allowed to buy 1 new Release I am excited about. i hope this helps my TBR a bit ♡

Ahh that;s such a great goal Laura!! I used to be so good at finishing series, booktube has definitely influenced my reading habits lol and I have a long list of series I either need to give up or finish hehe. Poppy War sounds amazing, you'll need to let us know what you think when you finish!!

Hi Bianca! I think that's a great rule that would help a lot of us too, thank you for sharing :)

message 15: by Just Josie (new)

Just Josie (josse) Hi all - I´m Josie and I normally don´t do groups here, but I am inspired to attack my TBR (goal under 60 - I started at 72 this year) and for the last few years that number has been more or less stuck in 72 since I read some, buy some, read some more etc,). And would love to connect with other people also going for that this year.
I have been on GR for over 10 years and my reading has suffered a little these past few years, so I am reading to get back into the game plus I wanna have fun while doing what I love.
