[bookcover:A Hopeless Heist|41..."Hi Brigid,
I have not read them but am picking the Miss Fisher mysteries for you. I noticed them on your post and since I like reading cruise mysteries when I cruise, I got the first one to read on my trip next month. Happy reading!
Helen, I'm picking Meg Langslow for you. It's a gloomy time of year, so you can probably use a laugh. Meg (and her crew) are always amusing.
Zermeena wrote: "I can't believe it's time for February books!Secret, Book and Scone Society by Ellery Adams

Hello Cynthia.
I’ll have to pick “The Cat Who…” for you, as they are one of my all time favourite series. Enjoy.
Connie N. wrote: "Helen, I'm picking Meg Langslow for you. It's a gloomy time of year, so you can probably use a laugh. Meg (and her crew) are always amusing."Thank you, Connie. I haven’t read any of hers for a while. It’s definitely not gloomy here in the Southern Hemisphere, though.
Zermeena wrote: "Nell - I'm interested in reading Scumble River so I'm choosing Welcome Back to Scumble River for you."
Thanks, Zermeena. I read all of the original Scumble River series. Looking forward to the reboot with a new customer. She spun another series off characters that she introduced in this one. (Chef-to-Go).

Thank you, Helen! I can't wait to get started!
Finished my first
I had some trouble tracking this down, as it isn’t available as an ebook or audiobook, but finally found it in a library in a neighbouring town. I’ve ordered the next in the series from Abe books, which could take a while.
Very odd for a popular series.
Finished my first, The Body in the Bookstore last week. It was good and am looking forward to the second later this month.
Finished both of mine by Laura Durham. As usual enjoyed my time with all the characters.
The Truffle with Weddings
Irish Aisles are Smiling
I listened to my 2 books A Bride’s Guide to Marriage and Murder and A Newlywed’s Guide to Fortune and Murder. I love this series even though there are some manners of speech that I don't think are contemporary to the setting.
Finished my second, A Murder at the Movies, over the weekend. Another good series that I will be continuing.
Finished my second two weeks ago, but I’ve been offline visiting Honiara, Solomon Islands so not able to post here.
I was able to make some good progress with this month's series. Thanks, Jennifer, for a great pick!Hannah Swensen - Joanne Fluke

February is often a cold, dark, and short month for many people around the world. The amethyst birthstone is a gorgeous, richly colored gemstone, which is a beautiful contrast to this time of year. Amethyst is crystalline quartz in colors ranging from pale lilac to deep reddish purple.
As the color purple has long been connected with royalty, amethysts were favored by the ruling class. Over time, amethysts have also come to be associated with spirituality, mental clarity, and healing.
TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FEBRUARY CHALLENGE:
♦Pick five series that you want to read.
♦It can be a new or an on-going series.
♦Post the name of the series and the covers of at least two books that you have not read.
♦There must be at least two unread books in the series. No re-reads allowed.
♦You may re-post a series chosen before as long as there are at least two unread books.
♦Post series now through January 20th.
♦Pairs will be posted on January 21st.
♦Select a series for your partner between January 21st and 24th...sooner is better
♦Next month, read two (or more) books from the series selected for you.
New to the challenge? The thread for challenge guidelines and questions is here
Comments on this thread will be limited to members posting series until the 21st. After pairs are selected, the thread is open for discussion.
