Episode title: the soulmate situation
Okay so basically I was babysitting my first grade aged sister at the children pool while my dad swam laps, and I was just helping her swim, playing with her, and helping her on slides and stuff. She was too scared to go on the water slide which went up to the ceiling and curved around so much it even scared me, a teenage girl who read Edgar Allen Poe at 8 years old, so I was holding her as we went down the slide. 🛝
enter stage right, the most attractive man i have ever seen. He had curly brown hair that was the just the right length: not frat hockey player boy length, but a little longer than a basic cut. It was fluffy and perfectly styled might I add, without looking like he was even trying. He had the brightest most gorgeous eyes I’ve ever seen and omg his SMILE!!! He had that smile that only exists in Pinterest edits of book men like Wes bennet and Jameson Hawthorne because it was absolutely perfect! His smile lit up his entire face, just while smiling politely, and it tugged at the corners of his mouth and just brightened his eyes and it’s one of those smiles yk? Like the infectious smiles that make you want to smile back, the ones that comfort you and make you blush at the same time, one of those relaxing smiles that make me suddenly aware of everything, and wondering if a polite small smile can look like that, then I want to be the one who makes him smile every day. He was exactly how I pictured my dream husband, and just as kind and with the right air of propriety.
Now for the actual interaction, he just told me that two people couldn’t go on the slide at once (my little sister has the fear tolerance of a timid baby, what was I supposed to do throw her down the slide?), and that we had to swim from the other side as to not disturb those doing laps (there was no one else in the section but us) but he was just doing his job ikik. But he smiled so much and laughed and has such a calm and respectful countenance, and we were at a gym pool might I add so this man works at the gym. He has dedication, propriety, responsibility, an eye for detail, kindness, and everything i ever wanted.
My life literally slowed down and my brain was playing 2000s romcom music and I just became the happiest girl on earth.
I am in love. (I understand I’m reading into a 15 second interaction way too much) I want to marry him.
If I ever need to babysit my sister while she practices swimming again, I will GLADLY take it up 🤭😍
