I've just finished reading Growing up in Sydney by Australian author Daniel Lo Surdo. Triumphant, intimate read. Highly recommend!
I’m reading Tuesday Evenings with the Copeton Craft Resistance by Kate Solly. I got a recommendation for the author’s new book but couldn’t get it at the library so I borrowed her first book.
Andrea and I are going to a book launch and jazz of the new book The Paradise Heights Craft Store Stitch-Up
I've got 2 on the go. I'm reading Exiles by Jane Harper - you can't go wrong with a Jane Harper book. All of them have been great! I hope this is not the last Aaron Falk though.
And I've just started The Burial Plot by Elizabeth Macneal on Audio

Just finished and started the next book in the series. 20 pages of fun. Clear (Comixology Originals) #4
4 star short.
Graphic novel series. Book 4.
Sci-fi, emotional and visual extravaganza.

I just finished French Braid by Anne Tyler. Great characters, as always. One of the main ones is a woman with an empty nest who makes what some would see as a selfish decision. I thought it was wonderful.
Just finished Exiles by Jane Harper It was a bit slow, compared to book 1 & 2 but I still enjoyed it.Will be starting tonight Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros
I have just started a debut novel
Dead Liar by Ruth Nina Welsh I'm not far in, but it's already showing great promise :)

Marianne wrote: "Halfway through A.J. Finn's second novel, End of Story, so slow, wish he'd just get on with it!"That's a shame. His first novel The Woman in the Window was sooo good!
I'm reading The Huntress by Kate Quinn. This was the book I received in the book swap at our GR gathering in December. It's SO good I've been avoiding people just so I have time to read.
Really enjoying Service Model by Adrian Tchaikovsky, although I am getting funny looks as I burst out laughing while I walk along reading it.
I'm reading The Season by Helen Garner. I heard this was the second best seller in Australia at the moment.
Susan wrote: "I'm reading The Secrets of Willow Bay by Phillipa Nefri Clark"I loved this one, enjoy, Susan
Currently listening to Red River Road by Anna Downes -
Very good so far. It's sounding a bit creepy!
I am reading Baby Teeth - Zoje Stage. 30 pages in and it’s got me good. A particular quote has made me cackle, something about stopping the toddler from licking lemons. 🍋

Started reading The Knitting Club at Wagtail Ridge by Janet Gover this afternoon. I’m only on chapter three and I’m already loving the characters :)

Yep, loving the The Silk House so far Brenda :)
Hi all, I'm getting perilously close to finishing a couple of the A-Z challenges. Does anyone have any recommendations of great books (I prefer crime-thriller!) with title or author's name starting with Y? I have all other letters covered, I think. I know I can use a title / author with a Y in the title/name, but would prefer to find a title/ author's name actually starting with Y.
I'm thinking of trying Return to Roseglen by Helene Young - has anyone read any of her books?
Thanks!

I LOVE Helene's books Sarah! She's a wonderful writer but hasn't released anything in a few years. Return to Roseglen is her last and is more contemporary. But she has some great crime books in her earlier titles. She and her husband are living in a catamaran and sailing up and down the east coast, including Tasmania. They love Tassie!

You've convinced me, and to add even more encouragement, Return to Roseglen is available as a paperback and an audiobook at Libraries Tasmania!
