Rebecca Cecil | 272 comments I am reading "Being Henry ( The Fonz and Beyond...) by Henry Winkler. It is very interesting. Reading things I never knew about him not his family.

Raymond | 17 comments I also enjpyed Henry Winkler's book, though personally for me it started to drag some. Having grown up with Happy Days, I was interested. Obviously Henry Winkler is a superb actor, and much, much more, far and above that TV show. I did learn many things about him that I did not know.

Same with Britney Spears. Nothing to jump up and down about, nevertheless I learned a whole lot. Pretty quick read and enlightening - yet could have been very much better.

Best one recently: Chung by Connie Chung. Excellent book, quite a story by a woman who can speak directly to both misogyny (my Lord)!! as well as the Asian experience. Recommended, really well-done autobiography by a pioneer in her field...

Judith Speed | 208 comments Paul O’Grady has a series of autobiographies. I get that the name may not mean much to non-British people, but they are hilarious in their own right. The first one is “At My Mother’s Knee and Other Low Joints”.

Rebecca Cecil | 272 comments Read Matthew McConaughney's book Green Light. Learn a lot I did not know about him. It was a pretty good read.

message 10: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Cecil | 272 comments Read Matthew Perry's book. Very sad he was a good actor who had a good career yet he battled drug addictions all his life. Describes how you go to rehab to get off drugs for them to put you on drugs to help you stop doing drugs and what a vicious cycle it becomes. Very sad life.

Rebecca Cecil | 272 comments Loved Betty Whites book If You Ask Me....
Such a great read. Betty is so funny. An all around great read.

Lisa Goldstein | 125 comments I recommend Bad Boy by Walter Dean Myers, considered a memoir but quite a mind numbing, edge of your seat read. So sad but incredible what he has been through! He was an ambassador of reading i think? Maybe Google it. All his books are amazing!

Was that Omar?

message 16: by Glenda (new)

Glenda (glenda-r) | 29 comments @JudithSpeed. Yes, Omar on The wire, Boardwalk Empire. I started spotting him in lots of Character roles. Amazing actor. Tragic story. We lost a good one to the demon drugs.

message 17: by Anthony (new)

Anthony Brooks (asbrooks88) Dave Grohl's was great

message 18: by Mallory (new)

Mallory Hoernig | 1 comments My favorite bio is I know why the caged bird sings but I just finished both Tiffany Haddish’s bios and they were both great, the first one in particular!

message 19: by Caroline (new)

Caroline D | 2 comments I really enjoyed Prince Harry's book, the spare.

MELISSA ⭐️I hope your life is five star⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (sourtangent) | 1 comments I also recommend I'm Glad My Mom Died!! It's a great read & especially for those of us with narcissist controlling mothers/parents.

I just finished The House of My Mother by Shari Franke & it was really good. I read it in one sitting because I couldn't put it down.

Sociopath by Patric Gagne is another good one

Dinner for Vampires by Bethany Joy Lenz (from One Tree Hill) about accidentally joining a cult

The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls (technically a memoir)

Here After by Amy Lin is so good but you'll need a box of tissue...or two
