Yes.

I'm an undergrad social work student at Salve Regina University. I'm sure my reasons for joining this group are obvious. ;)
Currently, I am saving up for an alternative spring break trip to Belize (human services work). This has lead me to work a temporary full time job this summer. To keep myself from entering insanity at work, I have been listening to audiobooks and French podcasts. Today, I started listening to a silly, little book titled Breakfast with Socrates by Robert Rowland Smith.
Besides that, on my ebook reader, I am reading The Communist Manifesto and Blessed Unrest by Paul Hawken.
It's a pleasure. :)

My name is Andi. I'm 24 and I am a 3rd year Architecture student in London South Bank University. I'm Malaysian but I've spent most of my life living abroad. I've been in London for five years, I was in Vienna for three years and before that in Durban, South Africa for six years. Now it looks like I'm moving to San Francisco at the end of the summer to finish my degree.
I stumbled across this site a few hours ago and I haven't been able to stop looking around since! I haven't been reading as much as I'd like to because I've been having a lot of trouble finding new books that I was interested in. This place will definitely change that though!
Looking forward to find out what books everyone is reading :)

I love reading, every time I have a spare minute I want to be reading. I love going camping and reading on the beach.
Ellen Hopkins is my favorite author, I have almost all her books.
And I hope to have good discussions with everyone :)

I work full time at the moment, Sundays are my only days to really get into a book. I found this group while scanning the main Groups page. I am more then excited to begin University, and truly I cannot wait to meet new people! Even if that means being in University with no recognizable faces haha

I love to learn and reading gives me the chance to do such, as well as open new worlds and imaginations to me. Hope to meet as many of you as possible!

Welcome Brecken and Sarah!
Sarah--Sorry to hear about your health issues! I liked The Things They Carried, I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings, and The Great Gatsby (if you are wanting books read in high school). I loved Frankenstein. I read that in college.
If you want other (non-school reads) I'll have a ton of those! :)

My name is Elyenore, I'm a 20 years old Dutch girl, already finished one study, but I'm starting a new one this September "Environmental science",quite excited about that!
I have always been a book lover, ever since the moment I learned to read when I was 4 years old. During high school I had my absolute reading peak, 6 books every 3 weeks for about 2 years long. I've read some really great things, sadly I never kept track of the books I got from the library. I had been searching for a way to keep track of what I read, so you can imagine the pure happiness when I came across this site.
So I don't really remember my first book, but 'The famous five' was definitely a series I loved reading.
Aside from reading I enjoy going to concerts, following series such as Dr Who and Merlin, being crazy with friends, writing and traveling.
I'm not quite sure what I'll "become" when I graduate, but I want to travel a lot, and when I have my own apartment/house, transform one room into my private Library.

Hey, I’m Hannah. I live in the UK and currently attend University of Nottingham for my BA degree in American Studies with a concentration on Literature and Culture. I also work in a local bookstore, Blackwells, which only adds emphasis to my ever growing love for reading and writing and spurs me on to achieve my dream of becoming a Literature lecturer. My other love is making friends and with likeminded people like yourselves, I am sure I will love being a part of this community. :-)
Hi everyone, my name is Karina and I live in Washington State, but I am originally from the Philippines. I am an Accounting and Management Info Systems double major, as well as a French minor. I go to Gonzaga University and I am an incoming senior this year.
I have loved reading ever since I can remember, although I find it embarrassing to admit that I did start out with books like "The Baby-Sitter's Club" series and also Sweet Valley High. Eventually, I was able to grab a hold of some of my brother's books that he was reading while in college and I guess that's when my taste in literature began to mature (oh being 12 years old, it feels so long ago now!). I have a soft spot for Southern American writers, especially Isabel Allende. I also love Chuck Palahniuk and Pablo Neruda. Besides reading, I love to take photographs and have been trying to get my photography blog promoted for the last couple of months, even though I suck at updating my pictures.
Books I absolutely adore:
The House of Spirits - Isabel Allende
Invisible Monsters - Chuck Palahniuk
Gideon's Spies: The History of the Mossad - Gordon Thomas
Columbine - Dave Cullen
The Vagina Monologues - Eve Ensler
Anything by Pablo Neruda
Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen
The Griffin and Sabine Trilogy - Nick Bantock
The Memory Keeper's Daughter - Kim Edwards
Why Bad Things Happen to Good People - Harold Kushner
The Four Loves - C.S. Lewis

I love Ender's Game! One of my dormmates introduced it to me during sophomore year and I have loved it ever since! I really want the movie to become a reality, although I doubt that it will happen during my lifetime. :(

Hi I'm Bethany, and upcoming senior at Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA (home of Little League Baseball...and that's about it!). My major is corporate communication with two minors: business and american studies. I want to go into freelance writing, marketing, or PR. Currently going for the big time and reading "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn"

I'm Cynthia, 21 years old. I'm from Montreal, quebec, CANADA :P My first language is French but all my books are in English as well as my favorite TVshows =).
I'm taking German studies at Université de Montréal and speak 4 languages. I want to do a masters in Information sciences to become an archivist for the UN or something like that.
None of my friends are readers so I have nobody to talk to about the books I'm reading. I think it's sad because I'm really attached to the characters in my books.
Well I just found out about this website and I'm really happy^^.
Hope you have a great day!
Cynthia.
PS Sorry for the mistakes =p At least I'm trying ! =D

I'm Carolina and I am from a sleepy Dallas suburb in TX. I have a degree in economics and am currently pursuing another in biology. I also work full time as a respiratory therapist. My other interests are running, knitting and going to shows. I'm hoping to get into books again and hopefully make some acquaintances.
Hello, hello.
My name is Caitlyn. I am 20 years-old and I major in French and Political Science, still contemplating what to pursue a minor in. I have the tendency to go through an existential crisis often during my studies, but that's because I'm very passionate about many different subjects.
However, my greatest passion is foreign languages. My university offers the opportunity to study many of them. French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Arabic, Persian...I could go on and on and on. I think my "ideal job" would be working as a translator, to devote my time to both foreign languages and literature.
I try to read anything and everything.

To my new friends here Hello! I'm enjoying my stay here and hope to know more of you guys!..

In the past, I have usually only read romance novels and a select few fiction/non-fiction books, but lately I'm branching out and trying different genres.

I love reading Paranormal Romances, Chick-lit, YA, fantasy, and Erotica. I’m going to start reading more classics soon because I really want to expand my reading horizon.
Welcome to all the new people!! :) Don't hesitate to jump right in and participate. We are a very friendly bunch!
