That sounds so fantastic!!! Where in Europe are you going??

Merry Christmas! (or at least it will be here in about 20 minutes)

Merry Christmas! (or at least it will be here in about 20 minutes)"
My general favorites are Sherwood Smith (I absolutely adore her book Crown Duel), Tolkien, and Rowling. I'm a bit of a Harry Potter maniac, and am almost as obsessed with Lord of the Rings. I also absolutely LOVE Brandon Sanderson. I'm reading Warbreaker right now (the e-book version is the same as the first edition that got printed in hardback, only free) and am having a hard time stopping long enough to go to bed.

Elantris was my first, too! I read it shortly after it came out and fell in love. I could barely wait for Mistborn to be published. Sadly, college gets in the way of my reading a lot, and this coming semester won't be much different - 19 hours, auditing a course, and I'm fairly involved on-campus. But then I'll be graduating, and things will be just ducky as I try to find a job.

Welcome Ciara! What are you doing your PhD on?

Sorry, just realized I never replied to this. Anyway, we're going to Italy, France, England and possibly Scotland.

Thanks guys!I will be doing research science for my PhD, in particular Molecular Toxicology, not sure what my focus will be on quite yet, possibly the relation of parkinsons disease to pesticide use. So much to learn, such little time!

My name is Laura. I'm 22. I live in Birmingham, Alabama. I go to school at Samford University, where I major in Vocal Performance. I'll graduate in 2011, and hopefully continue to grad school for Historical Musicology. I love reading with a passion and devote a lot of my time to it.

There is really not much to say about myself. My name is Lucia. I'm a typical 24 year old gal, and I go to college & work part time. My major is Human Services. I am an avid reader. I also luv cats & dogs, but at a pet I own cats. Let me stop talking about myself now. I hope to get to know you all thru the board. =)~

Thank you for the welcoming Jamie. Laura I hope you are enjoying it here. =)~

I love to read, scrapbook, and have a good time. I just got married in June and I am having a blast in changing a bachelor pad into a an actual home. I joined good reads because I thought it was about time that I started keeping track of the books I read.
I look foward to reading!! yeah!
Welcome Olga!! Congrats on getting married!! What age group do you plan on teaching or do you have a particular subject that you want to teach?

Kimberly. I love to project scrapbook. Give me a purpose and I become obsessed with it until Im done. It can be overwhelming, but try doing it for a certain special event or as a present. It is definitely worth it.
Hi everyone, my name is Denise- 20 y/o and currently living in Las Vegas, Nevada. Right now I am enrolled at Hawai'i Pacific University and working on an AA in math. Long story short, I was diagnosed with two auto-immune diseases a couple months after graduating HS and did not feel comfortable having to leave the home nest while learning to juggle multiple daily injections. I really think online schooling blows, but I must finish what I started. *sniffles!
I was lucky enough to find this site through google a few nights ago. I literally have no friends interested in reading and hope I can chat with a few people about books every now and again :)
Kudos to Jamie for making this group easy to navigate through!

Welcome Denise!! Nice to have you hear! That was my issue too. I didn't have any friends my age to talk about books with. That's how this group was formed! I'm sure you'll make plenty of friends here! :)

**happy new year**

Well, I chose biology because I wanted to be a doctor and make some good money. Apparently that's not a good reason to be a doctor. Sociology was my minor and it was really the only thing that I found interesting. Now I just need an internship somewhere.

Welcome Rachel! I won't lie, I'm a big Wolfpack fan. My dad went to State and my childhood soccer team was called the Wolfpack. hahaha

I'm Andi. I'm 21 years old and live in Ca. I'm going to school to be a civil engineer. My friend just got me hooked on this site. I was looking at what kind of groups were out there and thought this one would be fun. I love to read when I have time, though math takes up most of it.

Hi Kimberly! My first degree was in a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Pharmacology and my second is a Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy.

Im Annie. Im 20 (21 in April!). Im a junior at Castleton State College in Vermont. Im originally from Highgate VT but have just recently moved to Rutland, VT about 10 minutes away from my school. So I have my very own little apartment now!
I am a communication major with a double concentration in journalism and P.R. and I am a women's studies minor.
I love sports- all sports. Im a HUGE Yankees fan and I love the Indy Colts. Hate N.E. teams even though I grew up here lol
I love to read (obviously). People pick on me because I always have a book with me no matter where I go.
I have an AWESOME boyfriend and we have an awesome fish.. Daryl, he's our baby lol.
I work part time at KMart and it is the worst news of my life. And, as I was informed by my manager today, I AM the blue light special haha
..Pretty sure that's about it for my life lol

Other than reading, I'm really passionate about music and do a little bit of singer/songwriting. In a few days I'm going abroad to Scotland for the semester and hope to do a lot of traveling, or at least as much as my dwindling bank account will allow me.
Welcome everyone!! :) I haven't been on very much in the past few days so I'm catching up or else I would welcome you all individually! :)
