opinions on adam from shatter me?

firstly, i just wanted to say that i love warner. and adam was being such a prick in ignite me (i think it was that book, where they move to the headquarters??) and he should not have said that stuff to juliette and he was being so rude.

but why all the hate on adam? a lot of other people have said similar things too. okay he was being so clingy and annoying, and just wanted the quiet, shy version of juliette. but most of the time he was still a nice person and stuff - he just cared a lot about james and made sure to look after his little brother well.
it's not like he had a really good childhood either. he grew up in very similar conditions as warner (considering they have the same dad..), and he is also human and also makes mistakes. when he revealed to anderson juliette's information, he was saving james in the process. someone's going to get hurt either way. i find it unfair that people are hating him so much, and yes although he deserves to get punched in the face for saying those things to juliette, he can still be a good person.
i really hope he gets with alia.
would love to know everyone else's opinions!

i’m not the biggest fan, however i think his actions were entirely justified and he had all the reason to be angry. i think juilette was coming from a place of such despair and in this horrible depressive state that her first glimpse of hope/happiness (being adam) was not the best choice and in no world would it have lasted any longer than it did. they were unhealthy and always fighting in omega one (those scenes gave me secondhand embarrassment). he should have backed away after juliette said it wouldn’t work when she found out about his ability and the risks, but he didn’t and kept pushing her. he acted out of anger, and most of the stuff he said to her was uncalled for BUT the anger was justified


btw i’ve only read the first three in the series so i’m speaking from that standpoint
