Jules Ackwood | 9 comments Hello,

I am hoping you would be so kind to add my book to the Goodreads database even though it's not yet published.

* Title: Drawn to Your DNA
* Author(s) name(s): Jules Ackwood
* ISBN: 9789083507101
* Publisher: Self-published
* Publication Date Year: 2025
* Publication Date Month: unknown
* Publication Date Day: unknown
* Page count: not yet determined
* Format: ebook
* Description/ blurb:
New York is the city of dreams, but when you know your days are numbered, planning seems futile. The bucket list Cassie and her best friend made is far from completed and it’s only on that silly piece of paper that she dares to envision something more for herself. When Cassie’s prayers are answered, she vows to step outside her comfort zone and a scenic road trip is the start of a more fulfilling future – though not without its threats.

The architect industry worships him, women adore him, and men want to be like him. Business mogul Nate seems to have it all, but beneath the stoic facade and tailored suits hides a broken man. Convinced that the people you love either die, leave or disappoint, he drowns his pain in work and expensive bourbon. Until a mandatory vacation in Yosemite National Park his focus shifts to a raven-haired beauty who keeps getting into trouble. Though her youthful naivety is charming, Cassie is like a magnet for danger and Nate is determined to protect her at all costs.

The feelings Cassie develops for Nate are uncharted territory, but she’s grateful he only sees the new and improved version of her instead of the fragile woman everyone else knows. However, the closer they get, the harder it is to keep quiet. Nate moved away to San Francisco for a reason, but Cassie might change his mind. While figuring out a possible future together, shocking revelations come to light that could ruin the road to healing and love. Will their long-buried secrets destroy what they have found with each other? Or will they overcome the obstacles that seem insurmountable? Whatever happens, Cassie and Nate will learn the hard way that you can’t outrun the past – it always catches up with you.

Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,
Jules Ackwood

Edwina Book Anaconda | 26954 comments You need an exact publication date, without that your book is considered "rumored to be published" which is against policy to add.
You will also need to provide a link to author's website, publisher's website, library, Amazon, etc. something showing the publication date, ISBN and book cover.

Jules Ackwood | 9 comments Hi Edwina,
Thank you for your reply. I see on Goodreads all the time that there is an expected publication date. Is that good as well?

I want to aim to publish by May 2025. If you need a specific date, than you can take the fifth of May 2025.

My book cover is still being designed as we speak. Is a placeholder cover also a possibility?

I already have my amazon kdp profile and kobo writing life accounts ready with the basic information of my book but, nothing is published yet as I am still in the beta reader phase. Is a website necessary at this point and would it help getting my book added to the Goodreads database more quickly? My ISBN n° for the ebook version is 9789083507101.

Thank you in advance for the help :) This is all very new to me.

Jules Ackwood | 9 comments Hi Edwina,

Because you made me second guess my choice for waiting to launch my website a bit later this year, so I went ahead and launched it now! You can find my website here : https://julesackwood.com/

Kind regards,
Jules

Emily | 17631 comments Placeholder covers are fine. The publication date needs to be approximate so that is fine. A website doesn't help get it added to Goodreads more quickly but congrats on launching it. I will add the ebook.
Do you happen to have an ASIN for the Kindle edition? If not it's ok.

OP states it is an Ebook with ISBN: 9789083507101
in post #1. Don't know if she has a Kindle ASIN since the book is yet to be published.

Jules Ackwood | 9 comments Okay, thank you so much for the update. My cover designer and I are working on the placeholder cover this Thursday so I'll be able to add that pretty soon once my book is added onto your database and I am linked as it's author.

Correct, for now it's an ebook with isbn 9789083507101 . I don't have a Kindle ASIN yet, because the book is not published yet on Amazon ( still in beta reader phase now ) . Thank you in advance Emily and Edwina for your help.

Kind regards. Jules
