My 2025 reading goal is 200 books. This is a slight increase from my 2024 reading goal of 175 books. I read a total of 213 books last year.
As lousy as it sounds I love reading but I don't read a lot last year I only read 14 books but I hope this year I can get to 20
12! I hope to read one book per month. Since I read for enjoyment not competition. If I read more than that, it'll be a bonus. ;)
@Meghan, as far as I can remember yes we've always been able to change goals. I started using GR in 2009. I've bumped my goals up a few times. I think I've missed it once
@Tasha, sorry you had a bad year. Family passing takes it's toll. good on you for rolling on.
@Sandra Rodrigues.... try "Breaking Silence" to get out of that reading slump. it's right at 300 pages but a steady read
Last year my goal was 110. I read 121 books last year. This years goal is 130 books. I have more reading goals too. I want to read 1 book in Spanish.
I want to read at least 10 new authors.
20 of my books should be nonfiction.
10 must be graphic novels. 5 must be classics.
@SandraTry a RomCom— Most of Katherine Center’s books are RomComs. Try The Bodyguard or What to Save in a Fire.
Another book I liked was Lisa Lutz’s Heads You Lose. It made me laugh out loud.
I don't really have a specific number in mind or anything. My goal for the year is to read as many comics/manga/graphic novel volumes as I can, since I have a long list of them that I've wanted to read for *years* but have never actually sat down to read them. Finally making myself just do it!I also have a short list of conventional books that I want to read at some point this year ("Iron Widow" and "Ready Player 1," to name a couple of them). If I get to them I get to them, and if I don't I don't.
My goal is 50 this year, I read 70 books last year. I would love to have more book friends!
I tried to do 142 books in 2024, but through not putting in time each day with every book, I fell short. I'm trying to get reading mojo back in 205 with, for now, the goal of 109.
100 since i didnt acomplish it in 2024
I did 30 last year and finished with 33. So I decided to go for 40 this year! I've already finished 2 and working on my 3rd. I'm hoping I can make it!
@brittenreads - omg same! I'm going to finish my thrid book tonight. But my reading goal is 64!
