Laura B | 21 comments A novella in the Business of Love collection made no sense to me, even if it was a sweet, clean Regency romance. I gave it a 2.5** rating, and cannot recommend it.

Laura B | 21 comments Love in the Wager (Women of Worth #4) by Kasey Stockton Love in the Wager by Kasey Stockton is horrid. Book #4 in the Women of Worth series had a heroine that was not likeable. I don't even know why I finished this book. I gave it 1.5* rating.

Awful that you read two disappointing novels. I hope you are reading a 5* now!

Thanks! I sure did, Dorie. Posted a 5-star review yesterday, though I have yet to update it here. 2025 is turning out to have a scarcity of 5 stars! :)

PattyMacDotComma | 272 comments I've enjoyed The Thursday Murder Club series by Richard Osman and fully expected to enjoy the beginning of his new series, We Solve Murders, but it wasn't to be. I always wonder if it's just me and the time I chose to read something.

Something, Not Nothing A Story of Grief and Love by Sarah Leavitt
This graphic novel might work for readers with a greater philosophical bent of mind. Not for me though.

Liz | 810 comments I wasn’t a fan of The Autumn Springs Retirement Home Massacre The Autumn Springs Retirement Home Massacre by Philip Fracassi partially because it was a cheesy horror story and not a mystery like I thought. My 2.5star review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

It's All Absolutely Fine by Ruby Elliot
A graphic memoir combining text and comics. Too boring and whiny for my taste. But mine is an outlier opinion.

Careless People A Cautionary Tale of Power, Greed, and Lost Idealism by Sarah Wynn-Williams
For those who still think that social media is beneficial. I'd have liked this better had the author been more transparent and unbiased.

PamG (lynguy1) | 738 comments Here is my 2.95 rounded to 3 stars review of The Graveyard Club: Revenge Game by R.L. Stine:

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Graphic Novel / Horror / YA
Excellent illustrations
I did not like the characters.
I wasn't the target audience for this book. Arson and scorpions are not a prank. Neither are broken bones.
The horror part in the last part of the book was better than the so-called prank part in the beginning.

The Many Misfortunes of Eugenia Wang by Stan Yan
This middle-grade graphic novel turned out to be a stereotypical mess. Then again, I seem to be the only one who felt this way.
