PattyMacDotComma | 272 comments I recently re-read a favourite first book in a series for a group read - it was a nice excuse to revisit Sebastian St Cyr, Viscount Devlin, in London in 1811. He's accused of murder, so while dodging the police, he puts his army intelligence experience to good use to find the villain and save himself.

Perfect blend of history and mystery.
What Angels Fear (Sebastian St. Cyr, #1) by C.S. Harris What Angels Fear

PamG (lynguy1) | 738 comments Here is my 4.32 rounded to 4 stars review of A Hired Kill by Steven Konkoly:

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Thriller
Book 2 in the Garrett Mann series
Overall, this book was intense, suspenseful, action-packed and violent with compelling characters, high-stakes, and a story that is unsettling, gripping, and thought-provoking.
I feel that those who haven’t read book one will be somewhat lost, as no recap is provided.

A lovely contemporary fiction for all cat lovers, even if it gets a tad too cheesy at times.
