Julie | 18 comments There are a number of people not reading the assignment 😬😉

First book in a series.

“Nominate any book that begins a mystery/crime/thriller series.”

Yes. This happens quite often. I appreciate that someone else noticed this as well!

Sara | 2 comments Changing my nomination since I misread the requirements.

The Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson. There are 3 books to this series.

on another forum I frequent, the mods post the ineligible authors (we've read a book from them within the last two years) so we're not running into this problem. It gives more possibilities as the same writers aren't always being nominated

That's why we have the group bookshelf. I think we agreed some time ago that two years is a good enough distance of time between something the group read earlier and potential current reads. The books should be listed in order by date so anything you see outside of the two-year range should be fair enough to nominate.

Later today I will be posting the final list of the nominations that a) fit the criteria I've established and b) we haven't read within the last two years. When you nominate a book, please please please take a look at the group's bookshelf which keeps a record of all of the MCT's group reads. I will be sure to include the bookshelf link the next time I post a call-for-nominations thread so there won't be any issues.

If you want to make just one choice, you have until the end of today. I don't know which you prefer if you give me two.

Hi, Sanchita.

You're a bit late for this nomination; it was for this month. There is a new nomination thread available for the March group read, though:
