I finished How the Penguins Saved Veronica and I'm about half way through The Spellshop.

I was going to start The Winners today, but my day filled up with an unexpected visit from my son. I'll start it tomorrow. It's been a long time since I read the first two books in the series, so I hope I can pick up the characters and previous events quickly.
If you're looking for some romance and love, but not to sticky and over the top, then I can recommend
. I've finished it today and although I'm not a romance reader, this one was very good.

I finished Play of Shadows. I've enjoyed this series and hope that Barbara Nickless writes more in the series.I'll start The Thursday Murder Club tonight. I'm finally going to get to this book.

I really enjoyed The Thursday Murder Club series. I'm waiting for the newest book to become available (September). I'm finding that as I get older I'm enjoying series that feature older characters.
I'm reading The Widows’ Guide to Murder and Rules for Ruin. Both are for the monthly theme. I finished
- my Don't Let Him In review
I started The Widows’ Guide to Murder for the group read and am also reading Beyond Booze: How to create a life you love alcohol-free for my 'Happiest Sober" book club. To bad the group read theme didn't also include same letters in the book title. lol
I finished The Widows’ Guide to Murder and thought it was fun. I've started Say You'll Remember Me for the monthly challenge, which I'm enjoying. I hope I don't mix it up with Rules for Ruin at all because they are both romance genre. I usually try not to read similar books at the same time. These have very different characters and settings so hopefully I'll be ok.
I finished Say You'll Remember Me for the monthly challenge, which I enjoyed a lot. My review is here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...I have started The Busybody Book Club. It is another quick and easy read so far. I made it 30% through today.
I finished Wild Dark Shore for the monthly challenge. I thought it was very atmospheric and really explored the parent/child relationship focusing on protection of both for each other.I started Memorial Days for the annual challenge. It is very honest and sad. I have already had tears and I'm only on page 23.
I finished Babylonia for the group themed read, and will start Never Flinch tomorrow for the Monthly Challenge.
A couple of days I've finished White Silence. A huge recommendation!@Kristie: Oh, we've got some Amigurumi books at the library, but unfortunately I'm not such a crafty person.
I want to try one. They look so cute. I've heard that they are easy to make, but they just don't look like they'd be easy to me.
They do look cute. My friend has been crocheting and knitting little critters. She does and octopus that is super cute.
Everytime I see one of those crocheted little animals I wonder if my limited crocheting skills would be enough to try one. I might do it one day. They are cute and make beautiful gifts.
I’m reading a book called When Christmas Comes: A Single Dad, Age Gap Christmas Romance by Christine Rimmer
I just finished A Well-Trained Wife: My Escape from Christian Patriarchy. It was a great memoir. It was difficult to read at times and her struggles were not just church related, but also due to combining that with a husband with mental health issues. So glad she was able to get out of that situation before it was too late. Now reading an ARC of Forget Me Not.
I've started two new books - Cilka's Journey for my irl book club, and Outback. Both books will fit my list challenge.
I just finished The Marigold Cottages Murder Collective. This was a great cozy that fit the monthly theme. my Marigold Cottages review
I am now starting How to Age Disgracefully for our group read.
I finished Outback. I don't think I'll continue with the series. I'm leaning away from books like this. I don't want to say too much and spoilerize it. The parts that make me anxious carry on in the series.I'll start The Lotus Shoes tonight. I've been unintentially globe trotting recently. Russia, India, Australia, and this will take me to China.
I'm listening to The Wide World and enjoying it more than I expected. I started The Wedding People for both my book club and the month challenge.
I also started La subversión de la lluvia (no English edition), a dystopian novella by Martín Lasalt, an Uruguayan author who I think is a hidden treasure.
I'll be starting The Stone Angel today for the group themed read. All I remember of this book is that it's an all time favourite. I do have some vague images. I wonder if it will remain as an all time favourite.
