I do have a kindle paperwhite but it's a couple of years old. I find that I use my iPad more and read on my kindle app though.

thanks for the recommendations! i have a Nook and read on my Kindle app but also use Libby and Ever& (which now won't update).

I have a kobo glo, which is at least as old as yours, but I never got into reading on it (it was just another device to carry around) so I honestly read on apps on my phone most often. Probably not the best for my eyes, but it's what works for me.
