philip Dettmers immune is phenomenal too.
yuval noah harari jumped into one of my favorite authors recently after reading sapiens.

Do you mean Kiera Cass?

Percival Everett - Yes for some of his books, but not all of them. I particularly enjoyed his new novel “James”.
Dolly Alderton - Yes, but you’re not missing out if you don’t.

They say, 'Write about what you know'. Mr Carlyle knows his subject. The subject is the tragedy brought to a nation's people: a tragedy the world should wake up to. Mr Carlyle is an unknown, as you would be if you'd spent the years he has living among the real people. His works are unknown because they don't suit the pallet of the mainstream. His work is explosive and should be recognised.

TIME Magazine Annual 1994 Year in Review
Was super nostalgic for me and really interesting to read all the news highlights 20-- well now 21 year ago.

Jill Alexander Essbaum. Read "Hausfrau" and off to read more of here as I can get to the books. A poet and novelist, the prose is excellent. "Hausfrau" is a modern take on Anna Karenina and Madame Bovary all mixed up in the story of a neurotic American expat housewife in Zurich.

Last year at a book sale, I picked up an Alan Smale book, "Clash of Eagles", for less than a dollar- greatest decision of my life. I bought the rest of the series before I even finished that one and have since read them all. Great historical fiction, but I would also like to read some of his sci-fi sometime.
I also read Michio Kaku, "Hyperspace" (which I mainly bought because I thought the cover was pretty 🤭). Great non-fiction, it's difficult to make physics- especially quantum physics- easy to follow, but Kaku did a great job at that. Good introduction to that type of science.

Yangsze Choo is a relatively new author and after reading the Fox Wife I promptly read her other 2. Feels like the most promising new author, each book rapidly increases in quality, I can’t wait for another one from her!

1. Joe Abercrombie
2. Mike Shackle
3. Ryan Cahil

Olivia Spring
Neva Altaj
GIGI vale
I definitely 5/5 recommend all of them, but ONLY if you like spicy books with great plots. Whitney G’s books will definitely throw breathtaking plot twists in your path. That you will NEVER see coming.
Olivia Spring is big on interracial couples as well which I absolutely adore and support wholeheartedly.
Neva Altaj has some flawed and breathtaking characters who can be intense and sometimes tortured or hesitant of love from past tragic or hard pasts.
GIGI is definitely a spicier romance author with great plot points and the writing is a bit complex which I absolutely enjoy.

It was the first time that I read Čapek, and very soon I will continue with R.U.R. He is a Czech writer, and lived around early of 20th century.
He is quite a visionary writer; he and his brother introduced the term 'robot' to humanity for the first time. I loved and feared his capabilities at the same time.

Our retired teachers book group chose Freida McFadden ‘s The Teacher. I was hooked and blown away by the ending.
Rebecca Yarros was suggested to me by a friend. I really am enjoying her Fourth Wing series and am eagerly awaiting the arrival of Her latest.

Nicolle May and YESSSS everyone needs to read her books!! (What Lies Withing Masks and Shadows is book 1)

Also Charlayne Harris. I know I’m late to the game but the Aurora Teagarden mysteries have captured my interest.

and I want to read her other books. I love her writing style and imaginative plots.
