Also it was wild where Sadie ended up before she was killed.

I still wonder this too!!! I figured out the 'whodunit' a bit early, and I was really thinking that person did the pushing to distract, but it sounds like maybe the timing would not have worked out for that? It's possible, but it wasn't quite clear.
I don't wanna quote any one person on this, but I'm so surprised to see all the dislike for Connor. Don't get me wrong, he was not my favorite but none of the characters were particularly endearing, and he didn't seem to stand out as hateable as much as someone like Parker. Fill me in!

I had full intentions of making posts on this one as I went, but then I pretty much read it in two sittings. I ended up settling on 3/5 as well. It was a good, quick read. I found the mystery and trickle of information compelling enough to keep me reading, but I felt absolutely no emotional connection to any of the characters or the outcome. Avery was ok, but she felt a bit detached from the things happening to her. The Lomans....OOF. I wish we had gotten a bit more of Avery reckoning with (view spoiler).

But I doubt I'll remember it in six months, and I can't say anything stuck out to me.
I just didn't have a good relationship with Connor. I don't know if it was technically dislike or the fact that he just seemed to be there at times. I also would have liked a little more about Avery at times. I have the other book ready to read in February that was mentioned so I'll be back for my thoughts on that one when I get it read.

This was a 3*** for me. It took a long time for me to get into the book and was not captured by any of the characters. I kind of thought that Avery had something to do with the mystery and that she didn't remember. Later on in the story she became more likeable and I was wanting a happy ending for her.
