I just finished part one, and if any of you are struggling with the stream of consciousness style of writing, I would recommend treating the commas like periods. Read the long sentences as though they are a bunch of short ones!

After being delayed by snow, I finally got ahold of a copy of Men in My Situation and next month’s book.

also finished part 1. I almost like the writing style. But nothing really pulled me in, so I don't expect to read more.

I actually think it gets a lot more compelling the more time we spend with Arvid!!
