SOLVED. YA Horror series from the 1980s-1990s that had a group of friends one of whom had paranormal abilities. The girls go to a flea market and find a beautiful shawl which takes over the girl.

The book cover showed a girl wearing a bright colored shawl, and I believe the book title had the word shawl in it but I cannot find it. The teens have to find their friend with the shawl because whomever wears it dies in a house fire, I think. It was a series with like 6 books to it. The kids are teens.
