I took stock at the beginning of August and realized I was very behind on this challenge. So, I did some strategic alterations to my picks and prioritized reading for this challenge as well for the rest of the year. So, now I've read two more, and I'm up to 11/20, plus I have 4 others in progress.
1. Welcome to the Red Carpet - changed my pick to Radiance, by Cat Valente, space opera alt-history featuring movie makers and the Oscars are even mentioned.
20. Loungewear - changed my pick to All Out of Leeds, by Kim Watt. This author, and her various fun series, is a real comfort read for me.
20. Loungewear - Servant of the Empire by Raymond Feist and Janny WurtzReason - Almost everyone wears robes, unless they are in armor.
finished11. Slay = ✔️Godkiller by Hannah Kaner
Reason = slay = kill and they're killing gods in this book
and I only lack this book to complete the challenge
9. Global Inspiration = Radicalized by Cory Doctorow
Reason = four science fiction novellas connected by social, technological, and economic visions of today and what America could be in the near, near future.
and I'm on the third of the four novellas in it
I've read two more and I'm up to 13, plus I'm currently reading 3 and I shuffled my picks a bit more - I'm determined to finish this challenge!9. Global Inspiration - Crucible of Gold, Temeraire & co. are constantly boating all over the world and this book definitely does not disappoint in that respect.
16. Organic vs Synthetic - changed my pick to Tidal Creatures, some people are made and others are 'natural'.

Updated message 100. I'm getting close. Just 3 left!
✔ 1. Welcome to the Red Carpet: Moving Pictures by Terry Pratchett ➡ The story about the idea of Hollywood trying to devour Ankh-Morpork
✔ 2. Suit Up: Lost Ark Dreaming by Suyi Davies Okungbowa
➡ People from the Midders and the Uppers of the towers need to wear special suits to acclimate to the pressure of going into the Lowers
✔ 5. Special Effects: Golden Son by Pierce Brown
➡ If a movie were made based on this book, it would need a lot of special effects
✔ 7. Strike a Pose: Poštašavili by Terry Pratchett
➡ Starring Moist von Lipwig, posing as himself :)
✔ 10. Dime a Dozen: Death in the Spires by K.J. Charles
➡ Oxford murder mysteries are a dime a dozen... I've read a lot of them, and I don't even read mysteries ^^'
✔ 14. Oh! the Horrors: The Utterly Uninteresting and Unadventurous Tales of Fred, the Vampire Accountant by Drew Hayes
➡ The MC and most of the side characters are one of the "monsters" - vampires, zombies, necromancers, were-creatures, devils...
✔ 16. Organic vs Synthetic: The Soulmate Equation by Christina Lauren
➡ A DNA match-making agency - a synthetic solution to an organic problem :)
15/20
Dare I say it... I might actually finish this challenge this year.

Love Lords & Ladies for Cottagecore! I was wondering what to pick for this category, a Witches book sounds like a great way to insert more Pratchett :D
Tamara wrote: "I was wondering what to pick for this category..."I almost set myself a challenge of filling every prompt with a Pratchett book. But there are just so many good authors that I can't stay single-minded. Of course I just embarked on a Raymond Feist reading marathon, so watch how long that lasts.
Since my last update, I have finished 4 more books, so I only have 3 more to go. I think I'm going to have to change all 3 remaining book choices, though. I've had to do a lot more substituting this year. Here are my latest 4:
6. Six of One … Half a Dozen of the Other: Lessons in Magic and Disaster / Charlie Jane Anders (story of a mother and daughter with both perspectives)
9. Global Inspiration: The Odyssey / Homer (influenced works all over the world, and Odysseus travels all over his known world)
11. Slay: Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone / Benjamin Stevenson (title says it all)
12. Twelfth: Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore / Robin Sloan (24 hours are made up of two sets of 12)
finished the challenge with9. Global Inspiration = ✔️Radicalized by Cory Doctorow
Reason = four science fiction novellas connected by social, technological, and economic visions of today and what America could be in the near, near future.
