The ground splinters. Four paths bloom outward, each one pulling a Raider into their own shadow-trial. The others cannot follow — only watch faint echoes, like reflections caught in broken glass.
🏹 Amanda — Hunter of Echoes
She stands in a shifting forest maze. Every turn shows her failures: Lisa struck down because Amanda hesitated, Jackie burned because Amanda aimed wrong, Janeylou falling because Amanda took too much responsibility. At the end of each path lies a bowstring drawn tight, demanding her shot.
The Heart whispers: “Bind yourself to me, and you will never fail again.”

🏹 Amanda — Hunter of Echoes → Echoed Huntress
Echo Step → Phantom Volley
Amanda can still teleport into shadow, but now her shadow becomes an independent hunter for a short time. It looses phantom arrows at enemies within 15 feet of her target, striking from unexpected angles.
Visual: Her shadow sprouts its own bow, loosing spectral arrows in perfect unison or at different foes.
🧠 Jackie — Mind of the Rift → Archivist of Shadows
Grasp of the Unknown → Rift Recall
Jackie can now recall and cast two spells she has seen before even if they are not ones she has prepared or learned. These spells cannot be countered, though the effort leaves a lingering mark of strain on her mind and body.
Visual: Her shadow’s second eyes stay open, glowing faintly even outside combat, whispering fragments of forgotten spells.
🧚 Janeylou — The Broken Wing Reborn → Wings of Ruin & Renewal
Wrathwing → Dual Aspect
When injured, Janeylou sprouts shadow-wings as before, but now she chooses their form:
Ruin: Black wings of obsidian feathers grant her enhanced strikes and resilience.
Renewal: Pale crystal wings radiate healing light, letting her mend herself or an ally while she flies.
Visual: Her wings fracture into both dark and luminous forms, shifting with her intent.
🐺 Lisa — The Twin Fang in Twilight → Alpha of Mirrors
Mirror Maw → Pack of Shadows
Lisa can summon not one but two shadow-doubles, each attacking from opposite sides of her foes. Her strikes bite deeper, and if an enemy falls during this time, she slips briefly into invisibility within dim light, unseen until she chooses to emerge.
Visual: A triad of wolf-shadows prowl with her, their jaws snapping in perfect harmony.
