So he is living multiple secret lives? That is interesting. You know what? I am feeling generous. I will accept it.

You are each reading 4 books for the route that you choose. Everyone makes their own choice. I left enough spaces so you could all choose the same option or make different choices. It is up to each of you to make the choice. The outcome will depend on your choices. No pressure.

Would the Book Bridge Buddy Reads we are doing this month in the Book Quest Challenge count as tier 3 buddy reads or just buddy reads with friends?
Here is the link to mine.

That would be a tier 2 buddy read. Tier 3 would be Ashley's Formal Buddy Reads.

Donna, I was wondering, for this task:
Read a book with nature or seasons as a metaphor for cycles of death and rebirth.
I am having a hard time conceptualizing it, and there aren't any books (on my TBR or not) that come to mind. I was wondering if you could give me an example book so that I could see how it would work and understand the task better. Thank you in advance and sorry if I'm being a bit of a dimwit! 😅

"Seasonal Quartet" by Ali Smith
This series of four stand-alone novels uses the passing of time and the endless familiarity yet renewal of the seasons to explore contemporary politics and the work of various artists.
"The Seasons of Life" by Jim Rohn
This book uses the metaphor of the changing seasons to explain life's cycles and the principles needed to navigate them, blending philosophy, personal development, and timeless wisdom.
"Nature as Mirror" by Stephanie Sorrell
This book utilizes the life cycle of a tree as a model to understand human psycho-spiritual development, suggesting that understanding nature's rhythms can help us integrate them into our conscious vision and see death as a transformation rather than an end.
The Wall by Marlen Haushofer
A woman is inexplicably caught behind a transparent wall in the Alps. On the other side of the wall a strange catastrophe has taken place and everything seems to have died. Her only companions are a dog, some cats and a cow. In many ways, the novel is a fascinating manual for living off the grid. There is the hay harvest, the milking, the hilling of potatoes, the wood-chopping and the hunting – a dream for someone like me. At the same time, this is a tale of utter futility where there is no one to talk to. Not even the changing of the seasons, nature’s fantastic way of continual death and rebirth, is a relief against total loneliness.

Wow, thank you! I'll definitely check some of these ones out. I looked a bit around in my bookshelves at home and found The Secret Garden, I think it could also work. I'll sleep on it and see tomorrow which one of these I want to read most :)

Well, nobody has submitted tasks since I have updated the check-ins recently. I try to update every week. Have you tried reaching out to your teammates? If nobody posts a completion, then I don't know that your team is ready for new tasks.

The instructions for our task is that we give a response using book titles.
We have a sentence planned. For the key words, is it required that we find those specific words in the titles, or would titles that start with the key words' first letter be okay?
So instead of 'Magic' in the title...a title starting with 'M'.

The key word must be included in the title of your book. If you gave me a book starting with a letter M, I would not know what your key word was. It would just be a random book. You wouldn't even be spelling out a word, either. You gave me the first letter of each key word. This is just random letters and doesn't meet the key words as laid out. Your book title could be lightyears different than the key word. It could be Marionette Madness. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to tell that your key word was magic from that. It must make sense. I should be able to see the correlation.

You're welcome, Richard. Keep in mind that key words are NOT every word in your story. You may add filler words as needed to round out your story. As long as you have a minimum of 4 books, I won't fault your story. You don't have to be the best authors out there. I do realize that you are not authors, and this is not something everyone is good at.

I know...I just liked to challenge myself in my solo game. 🤓
