Your books from Steps 1 & 2 would definitely carry into step 3. You can use them for step 3. I would allow that. It makes perfect sense to use what is planned in the first 2 steps in your plan. If you planned well enough you would have everything you need for the plan in step 3 . If not, add more. These story like tasks will be the only time you will be allowed to reuse books during the challenge.

You may want to read my answer to C's question. It will clarify things further.

Is there a minimum number of books we need for that step (well just the 2 required tasks at a minimum)?

I would prefer that everyone participate but I don't know what your team's plan involves. This really depends on your plan. I left that open to your plan. Remember that you each have skills that you may be able to use in your heist. Don't forget about those.

can I just use the Witch MMCs in the book I read for my Wizard class task? Or does it have to be exactly Wizards?

Okay, you have started quite a discussion in my household. In D&D, a male witch would be considered a warlock BUT I don't have that class listed (because I was trying to simplify the game and not have too many choices). So because of that I will default to the closest option which is the Wizard (and Encyclopedia.com backs up this decision). I will allow it based on Encyclopedia.com.

Sorry 🙈 To be fair, I was debating myself if I would count it xD It is a big stretch but thank you so much for counting it 🧡

My team was wondering if we plan a heist and we are looking for items to use - are they modern day items (example a car) or more D&D themed items (horse or dragon)? Sorry if this is a dumb question. None of us ever played D&D and we are not sure.

Typically, in D&D they are not modern day items BUT one team did take a modern spin on their heist. I have never actually played D&D either. I have, however, been subjected to listening to many hours of it. I will be far more lenient as I know many of you have never played.

Well, your flour wasn't the right bag of flour. It exploded. You need to find a way to sneak back past the guards and find the right bag. Something a bit more detailed would be helpful. Let me show you what one team did that actually stumped me for a few minutes.
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... Message 45 is what they turned in. I had to really get creative in my response to them because they really thought out their plan.

I am in awe at that referenced plan; I am not sure I am anywhere that creative at putting titles together lol, but at least I see I can be more verbose with the plan.

C wrote: "Ah okay, I see a new tab in the spreadsheet now, so that kinda helps. Am I just reading books for the plan, or do I need to somehow retrieve object again even though I'm ostensibly caught?

You may retrieve objects if you can find a way. I left it open for you to plan. Your character has skills that you can use. Check these out using the link I gave you when you signed up. Or even google will yield other resources that may help you.

Nope, you may do all of it and then submit your quest.

And for our Rogue to use her Eye for Detail/power of perception to find something, can she read a book with the word Brightness in the title?

I will allow creativity in how you want to achieve these tasks so, yes, you may do these things. Show me your creative side, I love seeing it! You have to be able to explain it and have it make sense.

Haha thank you Donna! I had to stretch everything so my planned books can fit 😁

I don't think it is - we just need someone on our team to check us in. I hadn't because I don't want to take responsibility for all the stuff. It's a team effort.
Richard wrote: "Hi Donna, is this challenge finished?"
Nope, sorry. I am just dealing with a lot. I am updating it now. Give me some time and you will all have new tasks.

Yes, you are going to be busy for a while. This is a long one.

Thanks, that totally makes sense.

for: 🔑 Read a book with a mirror, doppelgänger, or split personality character
I don't have a split personality character but I do have a character that is all over with everyone. He has multiple wives going at once and always has a girlfriend he's working on. He goes by different names and jobs for every woman.
so if it's anything, it's him splitting himself to be a different person with each name he gives these different women he strings along at the same time.

Hi Donna, any answer to my question? I'm assuming use a book once only, but I don't want to unintentionally lag this challenge. :)
