I guessed the killer almost as soon as he was introduced. The book felt a bit rushed too. Perhaps if the story had been longer, there would have been more opportunity to introduce more characters and mislead the reader?

And I was really hoping for a prison visit.
Hey everyone! Sorry for the late response. I had actually started this book back in November, but due to some family stuff only was able to finish it recently. I felt similarly to a lot of of you. I thought the book was enjoyable and pretty fast paced, but the ending felt a bit rushed. I remember thinking “that’s it?? Surely there’s more..” (and then there wasn’t.) I didn’t mind the length; honestly, it was really perfect that it was only a novella because December was a very busy month for me and I’m guessing a lot of others as well. I was kind of hoping there would be more to the ending like a last-minute twist, but there wasn’t. Anyways, glad others joined me in this group read!
