Thank you so much to my Secret Santa (Sam, I think, since the card - which was very sweet - was signed as that although the return address on the package had a different name, apologies if I mixed them up!) for the wonderfully personalized gift of Wind and Truth (which I had asked for as the book just came out and I wanted to read it ASAP) as well as an assortment of secondhand classics and nonfiction to get me to read more of them, haha, which I had mentioned in my note. I'm very excited to read your recommendations/picks and I'm touched that you took the time to read my note and pick out things you thought I'd like! OMG! Thank you SO much to my Secret Santa! I went down to get my mail late tonight to grab another package (last minute Christmas shopping lol) and was so surprised and pleased to find a mysterious package waiting for me! As soon as I opened it, I had to run back to leave a comment - everything was wrapped so nicely and your notes for each book were so thoughtful and thorough! I so appreciate the effort you went through to pick these books and make it a special gift!! 💙

I'm a really broad reader, so I didn't make it easy to pick - even more impressive that my Santa chose three perfect books! I received Patricia McKillip's The Changeling Sea, Brandon Sanderson's Steelheart and Jason Pargin's I'm Starting to Worry About This Black Box of Doom. Patricia McKillip and Brandon Sanderson are both authors I've been told many times I would really love and had on my TBR for a long time - very excited to give them a try with these books, which look phenomenal! And Pargin's has been on my wish list since it came out, I'm pumped to finally get to read it! You hit it out the park, Secret Santa!!!
